The three things I do in MapleStory are fashion, bossing, and grinding, pretty much.

And out of those, grinding is by far the smallest part, because I genuinely hate grinding 😑

Lately, because of the Lucid event, I’ve basically been forced to grind for around 1–2 hours on weekends,

and that ended up giving me one bit of motivation that actually makes boring, unfun grinding kinda fun, which is Sol Erda Fragments.

Right now in the Scania Auction House, Sol Erda Fragments are going for about 6.22 million mesos each.

So I sell the Sol Erda Fragments I pick up while grinding and use that money to keep buying fashion items ㅎㅎ

Players around level 285–289 like me usually grind in Cernium,

but Calm Coast 2 in Cernium is a popular grinding map, so finding a spot is rough and you usually end up heading somewhere else.

After trying a bunch of different maps, one thing I noticed was

that for me, Calm Coast 3 seems to drop Sol Erda Fragments pretty well.

Especially since what matters is how many Sol Erda Fragments drop per one material buff,

I usually grind for about 6–7 minutes with Battle Analysis on, and if no Sol Erda Fragment drops, I switch channels right away,

Calm Coast 3 Channel 22 is where I’ve gotten a lot of Sol Erda Fragments.

I’ve had other channels where I got a lot too, sure, but on those ones, if you grind there long enough, there are times when Sol Erda Fragments just stop dropping well, you know? So I end up switching channels over and over..

But with Channel 22, even though I’ve grinded there for a pretty long time,

the minimum I get is around 4–6 Sol Erda Fragments and the max is around 9–13, so both the low end and high end feel pretty solid,

and I even got Echoes of Nightmare there too, which is famous for its super low drop rate,

so I always grind at Cernium Calm Coast 3 Channel 22.

If you’re grinding in Cernium,

I’d recommend trying out Calm Coast 3 Channel 22 at least once.
