I do 3 things in MapleStory: fashion, bossing, and grinding.

Grinding gets the least of my time out of those. Why? Because I hate it😑

Lately, the Lucid event has pretty much forced me to grind for about 1~2 hours on weekends,

but I’ve found something that keeps me motivated and actually makes the boring grind fun: Sol Erda Fragments.

Right now, Sol Erda Fragments sell for around 6.22 million mesos each in the Scania Auction House.

So I’ve been selling the Sol Erda Fragments I pick up while grinding and using the mesos to buy more fashion itemsㅎㅎ

Players around my level, 285~289, grind in Carcion,

but Calm Beach 2 in Carcion is so popular that finding a free map is a pain, so I end up heading somewhere else.

After trying a bunch of different grinding spots, I’ve noticed that

I seem to get a lot of Sol Erda Fragments at Calm Beach 3.

What really matters to me is how many Sol Erda Fragments I get per mini WAP,

so I usually grind with Battle Analysis running for about 6~7 minutes, and if no Sol Erda Fragments drop, I change channels right away.

I’ve picked up loads of Sol Erda Fragments at Calm Beach 3, Channel 22.

I’ve had plenty of Sol Erda Fragments drop on other channels too, but after grinding there for a while, I often hit stretches where the drops just dry up. So I end up channel hopping again..

But even after spending quite a while grinding on Channel 22,

I get around 4~6 Sol Erda Fragments on the low end and 9~13 on the high end, so even the lows are pretty decent, and the highs aren’t bad either.

I’ve even had a Nightmare Echo drop here, despite its painfully low drop rate,

so Carcion’s Beach 3 on Channel 22 is where I always grind.

I’d recommend giving Calm Beach 3 on Channel 22 a try.
