Maple Planet Job Recommendation! Maple Planet Pirate Viper Skill Tree Guide

Hello, this is GameSky.

Today, we are returning to Maple Planet for the first time in a while. Last time, we looked at Ice/Lightning, one of the hottest and most popular classes in Maple Planet. This time, we will go over the Pirate Viper skill build, a class that, like a warrior, is at a disadvantage in ranged fights, but still takes matches head-on and settles things fairly by fighting with its fists.

So, let’s begin.

Table of Contents

  • 1st Job Skills

  • 2nd Job Skills

  • 3rd Job Skills

  • 4th Job Skills

1st Job Skills

Straight 1 -> Somersault Kick 11 -> Quick Motion MAX -> Somersault Kick MAX -> Dash MAX -> Straight 11

This is the 1st Job setup. For your attack skill, it is generally better to MAX Somersault Kick instead of putting points into Straight first, because Somersault Kick can hit 5 to 6 monsters and is excellent for grinding. However, I personally prefer to invest in passives first. Even so, Somersault Kick is valuable enough that I still put 11 points into it early. That is simply my personal approach, though, and you can also just MAX Somersault Kick right away.

2nd Job Skills

Improve Max HP MAX -> Knuckle Mastery 19 -> Screw Punch 1 -> Knuckle Booster 6 -> Screw Punch MAX -> Backspin Blow MAX -> Double Upper MAX -> Knuckle Booster MAX -> MP Recovery 10 -> Oak Barrel 1

From 2nd Job onward, you should absolutely MAX Improve Max HP. Since it is a passive that boosts HP, it becomes a big help later on. MP Recovery restores MP by consuming HP, but in practice it is not a particularly important skill. If it worked more like Heal, it would be useful, but because it has a cooldown, it is not something you really need to prioritize. Instead, it is perfectly fine to spend those remaining points on other skills rather than MP Recovery.

3rd Job Skills

Stun Mastery MAX -> Energy Charge 1 -> Energy Buster 1 -> Energy Charge MAX -> Energy Buster MAX -> Energy Drain MAX -> Transform MAX -> Shockwave 11

Starting in 3rd Job, you finally unlock Energy Charge, which is arguably Viper’s signature skill. At the same time, however, this is also the stage where potion costs tend to feel the heaviest. Because of that, Energy Drain carries a lot of importance in the build. Also, Transform becomes very important later once you begin using 4th Job skills.

4th Job Skills

Dragon Strike 1 -> Speed Infusion 1 -> Time Leap 1 -> Super Transform 1 -> Speed Infusion MAX -> Dragon Strike MAX -> Super Transform MAX -> Demolition MAX -> Snatch MAX -> Fist MAX -> Energy Orb MAX -> Maple Warrior 19 -> Hero’s Will 1

From 4th Job onward, Viper enters its strongest phase. Dragon Strike is an absolutely essential skill, and it stays useful going forward, so you should make sure to invest in it without fail. That is also why Viper is often said to level very quickly at this stage.

Closing Thoughts

Today, we looked over the Pirate Viper skill build in Maple Planet. In the early game, it is of course a slow, footslogging class that struggles against ranged opponents, but if you raise it properly, it shows tremendous potential. If you enjoy growth-focused classes, this one is easy to recommend.

This has been GameSky. Thank you!
