It’s been a while since we last covered 메이플 플래닛. Last time, we looked at the Ice/Lightning Mage, which was the most popular class in 메이플 플래닛 at the time. Today, we’ll cover the Pirate Buccaneer skill build. Much like Warriors, this class struggles with range, but prefers to settle things fair and square by letting its fists do the talking.

1st Job Skills

Flash Fist 1 -> Somersault Kick 11 -> Quick Motion MAX -> Somersault Kick MAX -> Dash MAX -> Flash Fist 11

That’s the 1st job skill order. For your attack skills, prioritize maxing Somersault Kick over investing in Flash Fist. Somersault Kick hits 5~6 monsters, making it excellent for training. I usually prioritize passives, but Somersault Kick is useful enough to warrant 11 points first. That’s just my approach, though—you can also max Somersault Kick before moving on to passives.

2nd Job Skills

Improve MaxHP MAX -> Knuckler Mastery 19 -> Corkscrew Blow 1 -> Knuckler Booster 6 -> Corkscrew Blow MAX -> Backspin Blow MAX -> Double Uppercut MAX -> Knuckler Booster MAX -> MP Recovery 10 -> Oak Barrel 1

At 2nd job, maxing Improve MaxHP first is essential. This passive increases your HP gains and will pay off later. MP Recovery, on the other hand, uses HP to restore MP but isn’t especially important. It would be useful if you could use it like Heal, but its cooldown makes it a skill you can skip. You can reasonably put the points allocated to MP Recovery into your other skills instead.

3rd Job Skills

Stun Mastery MAX -> Energy Charge 1 -> Energy Blast 1 -> Energy Charge MAX -> Energy Blast MAX -> Energy Drain MAX -> Transformation MAX -> Shockwave 11

At 3rd job, you unlock Energy Charge—arguably the Buccaneer’s defining skill. This is also when potion costs become the biggest burden, making Energy Drain especially important. Keep in mind that Transformation will also play a key role when you start using 4th job skills.

4th Job Skills

Dragon Strike 1 -> Speed Infusion 1 -> Time Leap 1 -> Super Transformation 1 -> Speed Infusion MAX -> Dragon Strike MAX -> Super Transformation MAX -> Demolition MAX -> Snatch MAX -> Barrage MAX -> Energy Orb MAX -> Maple Warrior 19 -> Hero’s Will 1

At 4th job, the Buccaneer truly enters its prime. Dragon Strike is an absolute must-have: it remains extremely useful from here on, so be sure to invest in it. This is why the class is known for leveling so quickly.
