Having fun and making the most of life in Erinn?

Did you know that this past May 22 was the “International Day for Biological Diversity”?

It’s a day dedicated to raising awareness of how important it is to conserve biodiversity!

To help protect plants and animals and keep ecosystems in balance,

let’s take a little time to explore the many living things around us.

And right here in Erinn, where we spend our days,

there’s a wonderful variety of unique creatures to discover!

Let’s take a moment to think about all the plants and animals that call Erinn home~

Monsters of the Hunting Grounds

Dangerous monsters lurk not only in dungeons, but in all sorts of places near towns, too…

Why not put together a guide to their traits and weaknesses?

We could create a field guide listing the monsters in every hunting ground, area by area,

then hand it out to townspeople and travelers to help cut down on all those incidents and accidents~

The monster I’m most curious about is the “아이스 블룸래셔” in the ice canyon.

It seems to be inspired by real-life carnivorous plants, and although it looks like a flower,

this unusual creature can move freely and attack adventurers.

Here’s another interesting detail:

even with “매서운 파랑무늬 벌” buzzing around nearby,

it doesn’t attack them.

They leave each other alone and go after adventurers instead…

What a scary bunch😫

Do they feed on people…? What are their natural predators?

Sometimes, as I roam the hunting grounds, I find myself wondering about these little details in the lore.

The Plants of Erinn

Think of all the different potted plants dotted around towns and tucked inside buildings.

Have you ever wondered what they are?

Some look just like real-world plants,

while others are quirky little things that seem to exist only in Mabinogi Mobile.

I’d love to see a plant guide based on observations of Erinn’s many plants, with a name for each one.

We could group them by leaf shape,

or make a lovely guide organized by their overall color.

And for any inspired by real plants, it would be nice to include the names of their real-world counterparts, too.

I want to grow the same potted plants I have in My Home in my own room

and really immerse myself in life as an adventurer😁🍀

Special plants like Mana Herbs could get their own category, separate from ordinary plants.

Just admiring all those colors and shapes you rarely see in real life would be fun~

A field guide to Erinn’s mana plants!

I have a feeling it would be essential reading for every mage, druid, and healer~

Mushrooms aren’t plants, but why not research and catalog them, too?

Come to think of it, while I’ve seen familiar plants in Erinn, I don’t think I’ve spotted any real-world mushrooms.

Most of the mushrooms we’ve been able to gather in Erinn so far have been unique species that only grow there.

Wouldn’t it be nice to have a field guide to these special mushrooms found only in Erinn?

It could tell us what each mushroom is, where it grows, what it looks like, and what it’s used for,

with photos and descriptions of dangerous look-alikes, too…

I’d love to put together a complete, all-in-one field guide to Erinn’s mushrooms~🍄

Pets: An Adventurer’s Companions

So many different pets have been added so far,

and plenty of adventurers are exploring Erinn with a pet by their side.

They may look like ordinary baby animals,

but these special little creatures have incredible power!

Each has its own abilities,

so adventurers tend to favor different pets depending on their class.

These wonderful little companions stay by our sides and lend a hand even in the most dangerous moments of battle🥰

But what sets them apart from ordinary animals and makes them so powerful?

And what’s the story behind how adventurers meet their pets in Erinn?

If you watch the wild animals,

nearly all of them have black masses clinging to them and are corrupted and aggressive.

They don’t even seem able to move of their own free will…

Our animal companions seem much stronger than the animals out in the wild,

yet they’re still “babies”—not even fully grown!

The true nature of adventurers is a mystery,

but their pets are every bit as mysterious~

There’s already a pet collection guide,

where I can see every pet I’ve obtained so far at a glance.

You can also browse the pets you haven’t obtained yet,

and use the preview to see what each one looks like.

Personally, if I were to make my own pet guide,

I’d want it to show every pet without its clothes, so we could see what they naturally look like.

Then I’d make a separate guide to pet outfits,

noting each outfit’s theme and which animal wore it💕

Erinn has so many fascinating plants and animals!

Some look just like something from the real world,

but so many others are wonderfully distinctive creatures you’ll only meet in Erinn!

If Mabinogi Mobile merchandise comes out in the future,

I’ve been thinking how lovely it would be to see an Erinn field guide like this among the offerings.

Exploring the lore behind Erinn’s ecosystem could draw us even deeper into Mabinogi Mobile~
