Summer comes around for everyone, but we all have our own way of enjoying it. For me, nothing beats playing games in the comfort of home with the air conditioning on. Right on cue, the 스노우메이지 have arrived in DNF Mobile for the summer with plenty of ice to keep things cool.

Here are my hands-on impressions of the main events.

Who Are the 스노우메이지?

스노우메이지 is not a character class, but an official DNF mascot. It fills a similar role to 지에엥, the new mascot recently chosen as a DNF ambassador.

In fact, 스노우메이지 was the focus of plenty of in-person pop-up stores and events through 2025, and from 2026 onward, 지에엥 seems to be taking over as its successor.

Since Diregie, the character 지에엥 is based on, does not play a particularly prominent role in DNF Mobile, 스노우메이지 has stepped in as the mascot instead. As for why it has arrived in summer rather than winter... I think “It's cute, so why not?” is reason enough.

Round and Round Check-In

First up is a check-in event that rewards you just for logging in. It uses a board-game format with 16 spaces: you move 1 space on your first day, 2 spaces after 2 consecutive days, and 3 spaces after 3 or more consecutive days. Keeping your login streak going lets you collect more rewards.

You receive Daily Running Supplies each day, which contain 10 Data Chips, 20 Castle of the Dead Dungeon Specialties, and 20 Demon Invitations. Completing a lap also earns you 1 Transcendent Stone Particle.

Transcendent Stone Particles are valuable materials needed for “Transcendence,” which lets you transfer Epic equipment, auras, titles, creatures, and artifacts to other characters on your account.

A 3x EXP buff is also active during the event, making this a great time to level alts. I already have every class at max level, so I haven't done any additional leveling. If there's a character you have yet to try, though, this is an opportunity worth taking.

Snowflake Exchange

The Snowflake Exchange lets you trade Castle of the Dead dungeon materials for Castle of the Dead Dungeon Specialty Selection Boxes at a 1:1 ratio. Each character can make 10 exchanges per week, with up to 200 items per exchange. That means you can select 2,000 materials a week, making it easier to farm the Epic equipment you want.

Just keep in mind that crafting also requires a substantial amount of Data Chips and Epic and Exceed Souls. Don't use them all up at the exchange—be sure to set aside enough for crafting.

What Should You Get from the Equipment Workshop?

The Equipment Workshop is the most generous part of this event, since it lets you craft the light-infused Epic equipment you want in 4 stages.

In Stage 1, you choose the 스노우메이지 you want. This determines which dungeon your equipment comes from.

In Stage 2, you roll for your desired equipment slot using the 3 snowballs provided each day. Once a slot appears, it won't appear again, so getting the slot you want is relatively easy despite the random rolls.

In Stage 3, you choose a prefix, such as Guardian, Distortion, Blood Poison, or Sturdy.

Stage 4 is the final step. Once you claim the finished item, it is delivered to your Explorer Club mailbox. Be sure to log in with the character who needs it before collecting it.

So, which equipment should you craft?

Generally, it's best used to target the last missing piece when you already have 4 armor pieces or 2 accessory or special equipment pieces in your setup.

The 수호 거인 set in particular has been gaining attention since the addition of the new Martial God dungeon, Soldoros. This could be a good opportunity to farm it.

In the first week, I crafted an 엘팅 bracelet for my Spitfire. Next, I plan to use the Snowflake Exchange to upgrade it to an Exceed 엘팅 bracelet through crafting.

The official website has a banner with the words 'COMING SOON' next to a 스노우메이지 wearing sunglasses. I'm not sure whether a 스노우메이지 avatar or creature might be on offer, but I'm looking forward to seeing what other events arrive in June.

All the roadmap content revealed in the milestone announcement for the first half of 2026 has now been added, too. I'll be enjoying the company of these cute 스노우메이지 while I wait to see what other fun content is in store for the second half of the year.
