To celebrate Biodiversity Day on May 22, I decided to take a look at the many monsters that appear in MapleStory

and sort them by my own completely personal standards into a little monster encyclopedia.

Mushroom Monsters

When I think of MapleStory, the first monster that pops into my head is Orange Mushroom.

You see Orange Mushroom every time you log into MapleStory or Maple M, so for MapleStory players, it honestly feels even more familiar than Pink Bean. That is why I rounded up the mushroom monsters for this section, but sadly all the Mushmom variants had already been taken down by someone else, so I could not get screenshots and had to swap in Google Images instead.

I just picked out the monsters that feel cute by my standards, but I think most people would agree... right?

MapleStory already has Stone Golem, Orange Mushroom, Pink Bean, Yeti, and Slime as mascots,

but I would love to see some of the other cute monsters used as mascots too.

Out of all animals, snakes are the ones I hate most, so I really cannot stand MapleStory's snake monsters.

No matter how cute they try to make them, a snake is still a snake, so they just do not look cute to me.

I especially hate the Thailand Floating Market boa.

It is huge, it has that very snakey tongue-flicking motion, and the design is just plain creepy.
