Today, I’m back with another look at Maple Planet. It’s still very popular right now, and it has effectively become MapleLand’s main rival as a MapleStory classic recreation world. MapleLand offered a very faithful implementation, but many players found its high difficulty tough to deal with. Maple Planet, meanwhile, has drawn players in by delivering both convenience and solid overall polish. So today, let’s go over the events that make that convenience possible.

How to Check Events

Unlike MapleLand, Maple Planet has a star-shaped icon on the left side of the screen, similar to the official game. Clicking that star lets you check event-related information.

Once you click it, the Maple administrator appears as a guide and shows you various Maple Planet-related details. This time, there are 3 events we’ll be looking at.

Planet Permanent Event

First up is the Planet permanent event. When you start the game, you receive several buffs by default: +300% EXP gain, +300% item drop rate, and +100% Meso gain. Since the EXP bonus also applies to quests and Party Quests, quests now play a much bigger role. The item drop rate bonus does not apply to boss monsters, though. Because of that, it’s worth pairing your grinding with quests that match your hunting area.

Beginning of Adventure Support Event

Next is the Beginning of Adventure Support Event. If you’ve already claimed it, a window like this will appear.

For reference, the rewards for the Beginning of Adventure Support Event are a 30-day Hedgehog, 10 High-Powered Teleport Rocks, and 5 Wheels of Destiny. Unlike the permanent event mentioned earlier, this one is only available for a limited time. Keep in mind that it runs until August 1.

Cygnus Launch Commemorative Daily Gift Event

Lastly, we have the Cygnus launch commemorative daily event. This event was added after the release of the Cygnus Knights, and it runs from May 11 to July 11. If you defeat 300 monsters within your level range, you can receive the daily reward item. All of the rewards are rare items.

Emergency Maintenance Compensation

For reference, after server maintenance, the administrator often sends maintenance-related compensation directly through delivery. MapleLand gives out event compensation after maintenance and updates, but Maple Planet can also hand out compensation right after maintenance itself. That’s one of the reasons Maple Planet feels more convenient.
