This post takes a look at Nexon Museum on Jeju Island. Its location makes it difficult to visit as part of an everyday outing, but if you enjoy Nexon games, I think it is well worth including in a trip to Jeju.

Nexon Museum is located at 3198-8, 1100-ro, Jeju-si, Jeju Special Self-Governing Province (Nohyeong-dong). Its predecessor, Nexon Computer Museum, opened on July 27, 2013. Renovations began on January 1, 2026, and were completed on May 12, when the museum reopened as Nexon Museum.

Like its predecessor, Nexon Museum displays artifacts of significance to Korean gaming history alongside a digital archive of approximately 2,500 game magazine volumes. It is also hosting a special exhibition marking the 30th anniversary of The Kingdom of the Winds.

Visitors can also explore three-dimensional exhibits themed around some of Nexon's signature games, including MapleStory, DNF, KartRider, and Mabinogi.

Nexon Museum is also said to go beyond conventional displays by offering an experience tailored to each player. Visitors who log in with their Nexon accounts are greeted by characters they have played, selected based on their recent play history. The media content is tailored to the corresponding IP, and those characters continue to appear until visitors leave the exhibition, offering a more immersive experience with the characters and games they have grown attached to. For visitors who do not log in, the content is said to be selected at random.

Judging by the scale of these displays, I imagine they would be quite impressive in person.

For MapleStory, I imagine it would be particularly striking to see images of the Black Mage, who remains memorable to players for many reasons, following a visually elaborate first act on the large screen. The game's scenic maps, well known as screenshot locations, also seem likely to make an impressive display.

[Cafe MapleStory]

In the basement of Nexon Museum, Cafe MapleStory is decorated around the MapleStory IP with a “Pink Bean Sighting Area” theme. Visitors can use the cafe without purchasing a separate admission ticket.

“Cafe MapleStory is a MapleStory-themed space designed around the concept of a 'Pink Bean Sighting Area.' Its interior incorporates the colors and shapes of various MapleStory characters, while its merchandise and cafe menu reflect both the IP and the region's distinctive character.”

In keeping with the official description, the cafe's interior is thoughtfully decorated with a variety of charming details.

Cafe MapleStory sells a wide range of merchandise, with detailed item listings available in the notices on the official website.

However, the dates in the notice list appear to have all been changed to May 11, 2026, following the renovation, so please read each notice carefully to confirm event dates and merchandise sales schedules.
