Today, I’m returning to Maple Planet after quite a while. I’ll be going over the Cygnus Knights’ 2nd job advancement quest together with the Striker’s 2nd job skill build. Let’s see what the Striker’s 2nd job skills are like.

The End of the Trainee Knight

Nineheart says the player seems to have gained quite a few levels without even noticing. Because of that, he tells you to come to Ereve right away and take the Knight Rank Exam. If you meet the requirements, you can become an official knight.

Hawkeye is pleased that the player is taking the Knight Rank Exam. He says the test itself is very simple. Go to the 2nd Drill Hall, defeat Titi, and collect 30 Proofs of Exam.

To get to the Drill Hall entrance, head all the way to the far left side of Ereve. From the entrance, go a little farther up, and you can move to the 2nd Drill Hall.

Once you enter the 2nd Drill Hall, just defeat all the Titis there. Keep clearing them out until you collect all 30 Proofs of Exam.

When you return to Hawkeye, he says you’ve collected all the tokens and that the only thing left now is to receive the title of official knight. At this point, the 2nd job advancement is finally complete.

Now that the 2nd job advancement is done, the advancement quest is over as well.

You can receive the Official Knight medal from Cygnus.

Striker 2nd Skill Build

Improve Max HP 1 -> Screw Punch 1 -> Improve Max HP MAX -> Knuckle Mastery MAX -> Screw Punch MAX -> Energy Charge MAX -> Lightning Charge MAX -> Knuckle Booster MAX -> Energy Buster 11

As I mentioned before, I personally prefer to invest in passive skills first and then move into attack skills. So my order is passive skills first, then attack skills, and Booster after that. For the attack skill, you can choose either Screw Punch or Energy Buster. Pick whichever one suits your preference.

Defeating Francis

Francis’s Cave is located in Evil Eye Cave III. Just enter the password you obtained earlier: Francis is a genius puppeteer!

The fight with Francis is fairly simple overall, aside from the debuffs and healing, so there’s no need to worry too much.

After defeating Francis, I went back to Nineheart. Here, the player learns more about the Black Wings. They are a group that follows the Black Mage and dreams of his revival. Of course, anyone who plays the main game probably already knows this, but still, it was nice to go over it once more.

Wrapping Up

Today in Maple Planet, I covered the 2nd job advancement quest, the Striker 2nd skill build, and defeating Francis. The player becomes an official knight and takes down Francis. The story progression here feels very well done.
