With that in mind, I have collected some related material worth looking through together with the full script for Gold Beach Resort, a resort-themed dungeon in MapleStory.

Theme Dungeon [Gold Beach Resort]

1) Gold Beach Resort is one of MapleStory's theme dungeons, and it was added quite a long time ago, in 2012. Among the dungeons currently grouped in the level 30-59 range, it was the first to be added, making it a notably long-running theme dungeon.

2) Gold Beach, which serves as the setting, is located in the eastern part of Victoria Island and, based on various details, appears to have replaced the former Florina Beach.

3) The theme dungeon story involves accepting a request from Goldrich Junior, Goldrich's son, and defeating the Slimes interfering with the resort's opening. It is not connected to the main story.

4) After completing the quest, you are told that you will be treated as a VVIP guest once Gold Beach Resort opens, but no follow-up story related to that has appeared since. The resort building can also be seen on the world map and in the town background.

5) In terms of scenery, the area does a good job of presenting the feel of a seaside resort, so aside from the Slime monsters, it is quite an attractive location overall, with the sea, palm trees, sandy beach, and clouds. Personally, I think it would have been even better if there had been just one additional map after quest completion, such as a resort room area similar to the top floor of Kerning Tower.

6) The Black Slimes that invaded the beach originally appeared in Singapore and Malaysia, regions that were not released in KMS. In the current Korean MapleStory, however, they were given the official description shown below as a “byproduct of magical research.” More specifically, they are said to be a byproduct of Aurora's secret records related to Luminous.

7) The pixel art used for the quest items was also taken from items from that region, and the real-world motifs were dragon fruit and rambutan. The Chef's Recommended Dish is also said to be based on pepper crab.

8) The required monster kill counts are not especially high, and the required items have fairly generous drop rates. However, there are many maps, and because quest completion requires speaking to NPCs directly, having the Teleport World Map makes the process much more convenient.

This is not limited to this theme dungeon, but for quest items, if you defeated monsters before accepting the quest, then after accepting it, moving through the nearby portal and returning will often cause the required quest items to appear.

For Red Tubes, you need 10, so it is best to collect them while defeating Red Tube Slimes.

9) The item rewards available from Gold Beach Resort are as follows, although in practice they are not really used.

Flower Tattoo: Can be obtained by defeating the final boss, Captain Black Slime

Gold Beach Members Medal / Octopus Earring: Can be obtained after completing all quests

In addition, 1 million Mesos are awarded.

10) In the World Archive, a total of 17 entries are assigned to this area. Even without completing the quests, however, you can still register up to 15, which makes it a useful place to visit if you are aiming for registration rewards.

11) The members of Gold Beach Resort also appeared in the 17th anniversary event [Hotel Maple]. That event featured Benjamin's lover, who had only been mentioned in the Gold Beach Resort quest. Aside from that occasion, this character does not appear elsewhere in the game.

The female character wearing the black suit here is Lois. Benjamin appeared without his beard.
