MapleStory has a map called Florina Beach,

designed around a summer beach resort theme.

It was released in 2003, making it a full 23 years old.

In 메이플 플래닛,

you can get there by paying Pason, an NPC in Lith Harbor,

just 1500 mesos.

is still a delight to listen to, even 23 years later.

But did you know that Florina Beach is home to

a monster called King Clang?

Eliminate King Clang!

Once you reach level 55, you can accept

the Eliminate King Clang! quest from Riel.

She explains that King Clang has taken over Florina Beach,

so it's no longer the peaceful place it once was.

Before you head off to face King Clang,

a wager decides which girl

will be offered to King Clang as a sacrifice(?).

Accept the quests from Rael, Riel, and Roel,

then defeat 50 each of Lorang, Clang, and Tortie on their behalf.

At level 55, you should be well equipped to handle them.

If things get a little tricky, keep at it—you can do it!

With that done, it's finally time to take down King Clang.

King Clang respawns in Florina Beach's final map,

Hot Sand.

In 메이플 플래닛, hunt monsters for about 2~3 minutes,

and he'll appear with a notification in the chat window.

Finally, return to Riel

to collect your EXP and 10 Fame.

A virtual vacation and an island saved:

this quest really did let us kill two birds with one stone.
