Are there any stories or quests with a twist that have stuck with you? For me, one is JM's Conspiracy Theory, a quest I played through recently. Here's a quick walkthrough of what it's about and the item rewards you can get.

First, head to Kerning City and find the NPC ‘JM From tha Street’. Talk to him, then select ‘[Kerning City] The Dark Swamp’.

JM will ask you to defeat 70 Jr. Neckis, then collect '20 Jr. Necki Skins' and '5 Witchgrass Leaves' and put them in the drawer at the Famous Pharmacy.

You can find Jr. Neckis in the sewers. Head right after accepting the quest, and they should be easy to find. You'll also need to talk to Lakelis nearby later, so keep her location in mind.

Defeating the Jr. Neckis is straightforward, but to get Witchgrass Leaves, approach the purple flowers and use a basic attack to make the leaves drop. The Neckis kept getting in the way while I was gathering them, which got surprisingly annoying.

Once you've managed to gather all the materials, head to the Famous Pharmacy, right above JM. When you enter the map, you should see the quest completion book icon.

After you put the materials in the drawer, you'll be thanked for a job well done and asked for a few more favors. Head back to JM From tha Street.

You can now start the main quest, 'JM's Conspiracy Theory'. A monster called Dyle has started appearing in the swamp beyond Kerning City's sewers. JM has no idea where it came from and thinks it's worth investigating, so he asks you to visit the NPC Mong from Kong to gather information.

Mong from Kong is to the left of JM. Talk to him and he'll send you to Nella, who will then tell you to find Lakelis. Just speak to the NPCs in that order.

Next, talk to JM again, then go see Lakelis. A flustered Lakelis explains that she accidentally spilled an unfinished spell into the sewers, and a Ligator swallowed it and transformed into Dyle. I was expecting some grand conspiracy, but it turns out it was just a simple mistake. Haha.

Tell JM what happened and he'll let out a deep sigh—this wasn't the explanation he was expecting—then ask you to defeat Dyle. I think I'd sigh too if I were him.

Dyle is a level 50 boss monster, so it's an easy fight.

Defeat Dyle and report back to JM to receive 12 Fame and a large amount of EXP. That wraps up JM's Conspiracy Theory. JM's parting advice not to trust Lakelis really made me laugh.

At first, I thought this would be a conspiracy involving the Black Mage or a villain connected to him, but the ending was so anticlimactic that it made me laugh. What quests have stuck with you? Thanks for reading!
