Color hunting is a game where you pick a color, then photograph scenery or objects in everyday life that feature it. It’s been trending on TikTok and Instagram, so today I decided to try it in MapleStory.

The key to color hunting is choosing your color.

I like purple, so I went with purple.

Event Boss: Maple Warrior Jin

BTS’s Jin is like a tree that keeps on giving.

This time, he’s an event boss offering Maple Warriors a variety of cosmetics, Sol Erda, and Sol Erda Fragments as rewards.

So far, I’ve only gotten the Sol Erda rewards.

I’m hoping to get some of the other rewards before the event ends.

Purple is BTS’s signature color, so the Jin event features plenty of purple too.

That made it a perfect fit for color hunting, so I took some screenshots.

My Purple Outfits

Since I like purple, I tend to put together a lot of purple outfits.

These are some of the purple outfits I’ve worn in MapleStory.

When I think of purple outfits, the cosmetics from the BTS collaboration also come to mind.

When MapleStory collaborated with BTS in 2020,

the Cash Shop sold cosmetics designed by the BTS members themselves,

the ARMY Bomb Package in BTS’s signature purple,

the Black Swan Compact Package,

and the Black Swan Master Package.

A lot of players held onto them back then, so you can find them at affordable prices in the Auction House.

If you’re an ARMY who started playing MapleStory because of this Jin event, I’d recommend picking them up.

This latest collaboration with Jin also brought some new purple cosmetics, and they’re quite pretty.
