There’s also that special something that makes your heart go all soft and fluttery—몽글몽글하게.

And that would be charming NPCs, plus the tangled relationships and stories woven between them!

Today, I want to introduce one of the quest stories in Mabinogi Mobile that left a real impression on me:

the linked quest story “Dreams Within Reach”, centered on Tii and Kadan.

Kadan, the clumsy, straight-ahead guy—and Tii watching over him

You can start this story at 59Lv or higher through NPC Tii,

by accepting the quest “Growing Feelings.”

This quest kicks off with the player watching over Kadan and helping him out,

because he’s been acting weird(?) in a way that’s totally unlike his usual self.

...What?

Yep... this was definitely Killian’s fault.

As it turns out, Kadan had been trying all kinds of things because he wanted to sincerely convey his feelings to Tii.

Like offering to give Tii all the money he’d worked so hard to save up...

Or hearing that Tii liked medicinal herbs, then using that money to buy up every herb nearby...

So once the injured mercenaries could no longer get any herbs,

Tii—who had suddenly become absurdly rich in herbs—ended up skipping meals to care for the wounded.

The player prepares a lunchbox for Tii, but Kadan gets jealous(?)

And to make things even worse, Kadan puts his foot in his mouth and makes the little kid, “Kobi,” cry...

Kadan makes up his mind once again. Why do I have such a bad feeling about this..

After getting the ridiculous advice that he could win her favor by swooping in and saving her during a crisis,

he even goes as far as releasing his tamed wolves to stage a fake emergency.

Of course, the whole plan gets exposed in a painfully clumsy way, and Tii gives him a proper scolding 😂

The player gets stuck in the middle, running errands all over the place..!

It was frustrating, sure, but there was something so innocent and cute about Kadan’s blind, awkward feelings for Tii.

The moment their true feelings finally touched!

After the fake-crisis incident, Tii tells Kadan,

“It wasn’t for me. It was for you,” showing just how hurt and disappointed she felt.

Kadan realizes that without even trying to understand what Tii’s real “dream” was,

he had only been putting his own desire to protect her first.

After that, the two of them rescue little Kobi together when he’s put in real danger by a wild wolf,

and the atmosphere between them turns warm again.

A picnic ending on Elid, the island where time seems to stand still

The real highlight of this quest is the ending scene.

Kobi, Tii, Kadan, and the player all go on a picnic together to the mysterious island “Elid,” where flowers never fall.

With beautiful background music playing, they spread out a mat, sit down, and spend a peaceful moment together.

The letters you can read from the two of them at the very end of the quest are genuinely touching, too.

Kadan’s letter in particular seems to hint at Tii’s fate (a deep sleep),

which leaves you with a lingering feeling that’s both fluttery and somehow wistful—like a little ache in your chest.

Mabinogi Mobile really shines with layered characters like these

and romance-game storytelling full of delicate emotional beats.
