In this post, let’s explore some MapleStory content to help beat the summer heat.

With our short spring behind us and the summer heat slowly creeping in,

let’s visit some places with cooool scenery that’s just perfect for summer.

🏖 Florina Beach

First up is Florina Beach, another island just off Victoria Island.

To get here, speak to Pason, who you’ll find in

Lith Harbor, a seaside town where you can almost feel the cool, salty breeze.

It’s easy to imagine enjoying a gentle sea breeze in the shade of those enormous palm trees,

and I think its charm lies in being such a peaceful island.

It was also once considered a pretty great spot for grinding,

thanks to the Hot Sand hunting ground, where you could hunt Clang and Tortie to your heart’s content for Yellow Umbrella and Scroll for Gloves for ATT 60% drops back in the day.

With monsters to hunt in a refreshing setting and some nice loot to chase,

I’d say it was the perfect place to beat the sweltering summer heat.

💦 Aquarium

Next, we’re heading right under the sea to somewhere a little different: Aquarium (Aqua Road).

You can reach this underwater region through the passage on Orbis Tower<1st Floor> in the El Nath region, where it’s always a cold winter.

Here, you can enjoy swimming freely amid refreshing scenery.

Beyond the backdrop, there are fish swimming freely around the map, too,

so it really feels like you’re exploring beneath the sea.

The movement is different from what you’re used to, so getting around can feel unfamiliar and awkward,

but that’s part of what makes this place unlike anywhere else,

and if you’re looking for a refreshing blue atmosphere to chase away the heat, I don’t think anywhere compares to Aqua Road.

In a deep cave at the very bottom of Aqua Road, you’ll find the giant fish Pianus,

giving you a chance to put your newfound strength to the test and pick up some solid loot to help you forget the heat.

For high-level players, that sounds like a challenge too tempting to pass up.

👻Phantom Forest

Our final stop is Phantom Forest, where you can get your fill of the scares that no summer would be complete without.

To get here, speak to Bell in the Kerning City subway to travel to New Leaf City, then take the NLC Taxi.

One look at this eerie place is enough to make you imagine all sorts of ghosts and strange happenings.

At first, the relatively cute Jr. Wraiths are there to greet you, but...

Beyond them stretches a vast maze-like forest where every map looks the same,

and since you cannot use Return Scrolls, you’re stuck in this huge place without even knowing where you are,

leaving you with an overwhelming sense of being lost and all alone.

And on top of that...

If you happen to encounter the high-level boss monsters that spawn at set intervals,

you might feel an actual chill run down your spine.

And if you try to make your way unprotected through the Valley of Heroes after getting through Phantom Forest,

the moment a fast-approaching pillar impales you for more damage than you’ve ever taken before...

you’ll feel a chill so frightening it gives you goosebumps and makes you forget the heat altogether.

There are plenty of other places, too:

The snowy town in the El Nath Mountains. The hotter it gets, the more you miss it.

The cool, refreshing town you might never get to see again, Coke Town.

And Rien Island , where Aran, a hero destined to save the Maple World, was trapped in ice by the Black Mage’s curse...

There’s no shortage of places that seem just right for chasing away the sweltering heat.
