MapleStory has long been known for its wonderful background music.

Even people who don’t play have often heard its music at least once.

Its soundtrack really is a treat for the ears.

If I were putting together a game music orchestral concert featuring MapleStory’s music,

these are the pieces I’d personally love to include.

A Real Concert

There have actually been several MapleStory concerts.

I found a full recording of Symphony of MapleStory.

It’s a pleasure to hear MapleStory’s music in such grand arrangements.

It would be hard to put on an orchestral concert as wonderful as this,

but I’ve picked out some music to suit my own tastes.

Nostalgic Background Music

My Own Game Music Orchestral Concert

If I were to choose a MapleStory orchestral program based entirely on my own tastes,

I think I’d start with some of the older background music.

The old title screen music still makes my heart race.

I’d also like to include the Lith Harbor music early on.

Next I’d add the music from Kerning City

to give the program a more mischievous feel.

Then I’d follow it with the Nautilus music

to carry on that Kerning City feel,

before making a sharp turn toward a more serious mood with the Magatia music

and reaching a high point with the Temple of Time music.

Then, as the Cernium music begins,

there’s a distinct sense of arriving in a new region.

Next comes the Odium music.

I like how East Asian influences start to blend in here.

Then I’d add Kaling’s music, The Four Seasons Regain Their Light.

This is my personal favorite piece of music from Grandis.

That’s the program I’d put together for my own game music orchestral concert.
