When you play games, sometimes the thing that matters even more than skill or gear is the people you meet.

When I first stepped into unfamiliar games, it was thanks to kind people who helped me without expecting anything in return

that I’ve been able to keep enjoying games all this time.

Today, from Mabinogi to MapleStory to Mabinogi Mobile,

I’d like to share

three stories that felt like the warm kindness of a mentor I encountered along the way in Nexon games.

1. Mabinogi

First, this goes back to 2019, when I first started playing the PC version of Mabinogi because a close friend brought me in!

Back then, my character had a cute chick icon floating overhead that marked me as a newbie.

Maybe because of that(?), even when I was just standing around in town, so many players would come up to me

and load me up with all kinds of useful items.

Thanks to those kind veteran players who took such good care of newbies, my early days were incredibly abundant!

Recently, while sorting through my album, I found some screenshots from 2019.

It made me suddenly wonder if the people who helped me back then are still playing.

It was one of those moments that really showed me just how warm-hearted Mabinogi players are!

2. MapleStory

Next is a story from around 2020 in MapleStory.

Honestly, I’d been playing Maple on and off since I was a kid, but I’d never really stuck with one character and raised it seriously.

Then, after a friend’s recommendation, I settled down in Scania and joined a guild,

and that’s when I really started enjoying Maple in earnest.

At the time, I had no idea how to set up my items, and boss patterns felt even more unfamiliar,

but my guildmates and friends talked things through with me on Discord and explained everything one step at a time.

Now I can comfortably solo Normal Lucid,

but I still can’t forget the thrill of those days when our 5-person party barely managed to take down bosses together!

Thanks to my guildmates, I was able to grow enough too,

and later on I could pay that help back by lending out Union items

or supporting friends who were just getting started!

Even though everyone has gone their separate ways now because real life got busy, and I also did a World Leap,

sometimes when I look at photos from back then, I remember all the times we struggled and laughed together, and it still warms my heart ㅎㅎ

3. Mabinogi Mobile

Lastly, here’s a recent story from Mabinogi Mobile, which I’ve been enjoying these days.

Right now, in our guild, there are only two users whose main class is Archer, including me.

Since it’s a class with such a small player base, there weren’t many proper guides out there, and I was really struggling,

when I got a lot of guidance from a fellow Archer guildmate.

Thanks to them watching over my playstyle for such a long time, my character has become much stronger than before :D

Also, when Abyss Hell Stage 10 first came out, it was so difficult that I was about to give up.

But thanks to my dependable guildmates carrying me, I was able to clear all four types safely!

Looking back, I really did receive so much help!
