MapleStory has always been such a goldmine for BGM, and back in 2022 they actually held an orchestra concert built around MapleStory music.

I noticed there was a video of the performance on the official MapleStory YouTube channel, so I gave it a watch, and honestly... it was so, so good.

Even through a video, you can already feel how moving it is, so what would it be like to actually be there and hear it in person..?

There hasn’t been another MapleStory orchestra concert since 2022, and I really, really hope they do it again next year.

If they ever bring the orchestra concert back,

I started really thinking about which MapleStory tracks I’d want to hear the most, and

The first track is Blooming Forest

I’ve brought this one up a bunch of times already because it’s my all-time favorite MapleStory track, but there are probably still people who don’t know it, so to introduce it properly, it’s the BGM for MapleStory’s 18th anniversary event map.

It already sounds beautiful just through a video, so how amazing would it be to hear it with an orchestra?

The second track is Once Upon a Time in Karotte

You can hear this BGM in the Karotte Endless Tower area, but I usually play MapleStory with the sound turned down, so I’d never really heard it before, which means I had no idea a masterpiece like this had been hiding there,

and then this time, while doing Nexon PEAK activities, I saw there was a lofi music keyword mission,

and while listening to MapleStory lofi tracks so I could write my post, I ended up discovering this song.

These days, it’s the MapleStory track I listen to most after Blooming Forest,

so this is one I really want to hear in an orchestra version too.

The last track is Riding on the clouds

It’s the music that plays when you use Hoyoung’s skill Sage Wrath,

and whenever I was bursting during a boss fight, lining up the final hit with the music that kicks in right around when the skill is ending

was ridiculously satisfyingㅎㅎ

Now that burst has changed to 2 minutes, the duration is shorter,

so the music gets cut off at kind of an awkward point, and I’d really love to hear it with the rich, full sound of an orchestra.
