In Mabinogi Mobile, the success rate is fixed at 1% once you start attempting to enhance equipment to +16.

The odds are already incredibly low, and as the enhancement level rises,

you need more Rune Fragments and a higher pity gauge to guarantee success,

so from +16 onward, you really need some incredible enhancement luck.

But I finally got my weapon to +18!!!

That's right—I beat those brutal 1% odds a full three times.

Today, I'm sharing my personal lucky enhancement spot—the place that got me all the way to +18.

My Monday Routine

Every Monday, I collect my Abyss rewards and get serious about preparing for enhancements!

That's when I open all the Dice and Mystic Keys I've saved up throughout the week.

I dismantle every piece of equipment I get and attempt to rank up all the runes I've stockpiled.

These days, I've collected all the runes I want and nearly finished my Runewords,

so I'm actually happier to get the 'Rune Fragments' from a failed rank-up!

With my big Monday haul of Rune Fragments in hand, I head straight to Bangor.

My Enhancement Partner! Edern

My lucky enhancement spot is right in front of Edern, the blacksmith NPC in Bangor.

I've stuck exclusively with Edern ever since I started attempting +15.

He's been handling my enhancements since the Bangor area update,

and maybe it's just my imagination, but the success rate feels much higher there.

I got my weapon to +16 in September last year!

After so many failed attempts, I'd pretty much given up, but I casually tapped the button on my phone while riding the subway,

and it actually worked—I remember nearly shouting..!

If I remember correctly, I got my weapon to +17 around January last year.

I didn't expect much that time either, but it worked surprisingly easily. Could letting go of expectations be the secret?

Most recently, I got my weapon to +18 on April 15!

Once again, I wasn't expecting anything, so I couldn't believe it when the +18 enhancement succeeded.

And that's not all: my top and bottom armor pieces, both currently at +15, are also the handiwork of good old Edern.

Surely that earns it the title of lucky enhancement spot, right?

My Personal Bad-Luck Spot?

On the other hand, I've had particularly bad enhancement luck with Nerys in Dunbarton.

Dunbarton is so easy to get to that everyone visits Nerys often, but she just hasn't worked out for me.

Maybe she's worn out from all the crowds(?)

I still have painful memories of repeated failures, even with success rates as high as 50~80%.

Even on my alts, enhancements with Nerys usually haven't gone well,

so now I avoid going to her altogether.

That's my personal lucky enhancement spot and routine!

Of course, every player has their own sense of which places bring good or bad enhancement luck,

so take this as a bit of lighthearted fun.

For now, I'll give my weapon a little break,

and try enhancing my remaining accessories with a little luck from good old Edern!
