Hello,

I'm 제이메르, a Nexon Picker.

Do you listen to game BGM often?

I certainly do!

When I need to focus on work, I usually skip songs with lyrics.

Instead, I turn to the familiar, comforting sounds of game BGM.

Today, I'd like to share some tracks that I think would be especially moving performed by an orchestra:

5 MapleStory BGM tracks I truly love!

1. Cygnus Garden (Cygnus Garden)

First up is my favorite MapleStory BGM, Cygnus Garden!

I imagine it's a regular favorite on many players' lists, too.

It plays during the boss battle against Cygnus.

To me, it perfectly captures both the tragedy of having to fight the fallen Empress and her grandeur.

This piece was actually performed 9 years ago at 'MapleStory Symphony in Budapest'.

Listening to it again, I still find it so beautiful that it gives me chills.

If you haven't heard it yet, I highly recommend giving it a listen!

2. Serenity (Serenity)

I certainly have a consistent taste in BGM.

One track I love just as much as Cygnus Garden is Serenity, which plays in the Grand Athenaeum storyline.

It has a wonderful way of feeling gentle and majestic at the same time.

As far as I know, Serenity hasn't been performed at an official orchestral concert yet.

It's number 1 on my wish list of tracks to hear live someday ㅎㅎ

3. Temple of Aurora (Temple of Aurora)

Listening to Serenity always brings the Temple of Aurora BGM to mind!

Perhaps it's the connection to the Black Mage's story, but the sheer grandeur of this track gives me chills.

If you love the atmosphere of Serenity, this track should be just your style, too.

There's an orchestral version that was performed around 7 years ago.

With a few changes to the arrangement and that rich orchestral sound, it's truly a work of art :)

4. Stormy Forest (Stormy Forest)

Come to think of it, this track also appeared in the Grand Athenaeum's Black Mage storyline!

The piece itself has such depth and grandeur.

I can only imagine how powerful it would sound performed by an orchestra.

The Stormy Forest BGM isn't widely known, so a chance to hear it performed by an orchestra might be hard to come by...

But just imagining those tense strings ringing out through a concert hall gives me chills!

5. Taiwan's Ximending (Ximending)

My final pick might be a little unexpected: the BGM from the overseas travel map Taiwan's Ximending !

The map has since been removed, so we can no longer visit it.

Still, I love how every listen brings back memories of those days and Taiwan's distinctive, lively atmosphere.

I was delighted to hear it make a very brief appearance recently in the official YouTube series '출근용사 김석진'.

Imagine that upbeat melody arranged for an orchestra!

I'd love to hear just how fresh and wonderful it could sound +_+

Those are my 5 picks for MapleStory BGM I'd love to hear performed by an orchestra.

Some have already made it to the concert stage.

Others still exist only in my imagination as orchestral pieces, but they're all wonderful tracks I want to keep coming back to.

Putting this list together reminded me just how many musical treasures MapleStory has.

Which favorite piece of game music would you love to hear at an orchestral concert?
