Hello, fellow Nexon game fans!

It's 재파민!

MapleStory has a reputation for “amazing BGM” that “even non-players listen to”—and for good reason. Even when I was taking a break from MapleStory, I still listened to its BGM every day. That says it all.

Wouldn't it be even better to hear these wonderful tracks performed live in an orchestral arrangement?! For this post, I've picked 3 tracks I'd love to hear at a game music orchestra concert.

★ These are tracks I want to hear performed in person, whether or not they've been performed before! ★

1. Lachelein BGM

First up is the BGM from Lachelein, the city of dreams. It lends itself so well to an orchestral arrangement that this might seem like an obvious pick, but it's one I definitely want to hear live.

I've heard that hearing it live is a completely different experience from listening on a computer. At a previous MapleStory orchestra concert, Director Kang Won-ki made a surprise appearance to conduct the Lachelein BGM. Now I'd love to see Director Kim Chang-seop take a turn.

1. Damien Phase 2 BGM

My second pick is “Last Blood”, the track that plays during Damien's 2nd phase. Its epic atmosphere and lyrics have made it a fan favorite. Metal guitar takes the lead, but I'd love to hear it reimagined for an orchestra!

1. Black Mage Phase 2 BGM

My third pick is the Black Mage's Phase 2 BGM. Once you defeat 창조의 아이온 and 파괴의 얄다바오트, the Black Mage reveals himself. This track kicks in at that moment, and I found it both frightening and overwhelming.

I first heard it after reaching the Combat Power needed to challenge the Black Mage myself, and it gave me goosebumps all over. I imagine it would sound even more impressive performed by an orchestra. The track is so popular that there are even videos with the lyrics included!

Bonus: Eos Tower

I'd also love to hear some more relaxing BGM. As a kid, I loved the Eos Tower BGM from Ludibrium. Hearing it again after so long in Mapleland and during the hide-and-seek event was such a treat. It brought back happy memories. I think it would be even better performed by an orchestra.

That wraps up my TOP 3 BGM picks for a game music orchestra concert. Which tracks would you like to hear? Thanks for reading~
