My Top 3 BGM Tracks I’d Love to Hear Performed by a Game Orchestra
재파민

Hello to all my fellow Nexon game fans,
this is Jaepamin!

MapleStory is famous for having amazing music—to the point where people say things like “it’s a BGM goldmine” and “I listen to it even when I’m not playing.” Honestly, that says it all. Even when I was taking a break from Maple, I was still listening to the BGM every single day.
And if you could hear tracks this good in a full orchestral version on an actual stage? That would be even better, right?! So in this post, I picked three BGMs I’d love to hear at a game orchestra concert.
★ Even if some of these have already been performed before, I chose the ones I personally want to go see live! ★
Lacheln BGM
First up is the BGM for Lacheln, the City of Dreams. In a way, this might feel like an obvious pick since it suits an orchestral arrangement so perfectly, but I absolutely have to hear this one.
I’ve heard it feels completely different from listening to it through your computer speakers. At a previous Maple orchestra performance, Director Kang Won-gi even made a surprise appearance and conducted it. Now I kind of want to see Director Kim Chang-seop do the same.
Damien Phase 2 BGM
My second pick is the Final Bloodbath BGM. This is the track that plays during Damien Phase 2. It’s popular for its uniquely grand atmosphere and its lyrics. The metal guitar takes center stage in the original, but I’d really love to hear it reimagined as an orchestral arrangement!
Black Mage Phase 2 BGM
Third is the Black Mage Phase 2 BGM. After defeating Aion of Creation and Yaldabaoth of Destruction, the Black Mage finally reveals himself, and this is the BGM that plays at that moment—so it feels both terrifying and overwhelming.
I only got to hear it myself after becoming strong enough to challenge the Black Mage, and wow... it gave me chills all over. I think it would sound even more incredible with a full orchestra. It’s such a popular BGM that there’s even a video with the lyrics included!
Bonus . Eos Tower
As a little bonus, I’d also love to hear a more healing kind of BGM. When I was younger, I really loved the Eos Tower BGM in Ludibrium. Hearing it again for the first time in a while during MapleLand and the hide-and-seek event felt so nice. It brought back old memories and made me really happy. I think it would sound even better as an orchestral version.
So that was my TOP 3 list of game BGMs I’d love to hear in an orchestra concert. What songs would you want to hear? Thanks for reading~
