Mabinogi Mobile engraving enhancement sweet spot—which blacksmith NPC is the best?
피스타임

Hello!
This is Nexon Picker Fistime.

In Mabinogi Mobile, the most straightforward way to get stronger
is to use Engraving Enhancement on your gear.
Since there are several NPCs who handle engraving enhancement,
you’ve probably spent a lot of time wondering who’s actually the best one to trust.

I was one of those absurdly unlucky players
who barely got my first +15 weapon only after hitting the pity ceiling.
And even then, there was one NPC who helped me finally get my hands on a +17 weapon.
So today, I want to recommend my personal enhancement hot spot.
The legend of my first successful +16!
Aidan of Bangor

The one who gave me my first real lucky break
was none other than Aidan, the blacksmith in Bangor.
He’s currently the only NPC in charge of Transcendence Engraving,
so if you’re aiming for endgame-level progression, he’s basically an NPC you have to visit.

This was back on October 27, 2025,
about a month after the Season 1 update.
After making my +15 weapon, I’d mostly been enhancing armor and accessories instead,
but that day, for some reason, I had a feeling and rage-tapped my weapon on impulse.

And somehow, it worked on the very first try.
Of course, it wasn’t literally right after I hit +15,
I already had around 10% enhancement points built up at the time.
That’s how Aidan ended up handling my very first +16.
He also has that Fergus’s master image going for him,
so I’d definitely recommend him as a trustworthy enhancement hot spot.
Getting over the heartbreak of hitting +15 pity!
Nerys of Dunbarton

Nerys, the weapon shop NPC in Dunbarton,
is an NPC I have some pretty painful history with, personally.

This was on July 28, 2025.
I kept failing while enhancing my greatsword,
and in the end, I had to hit 100% enhancement points for a guaranteed +15.
The enhancement point ceiling is basically a safety net,
but if you have to go all the way there, it also means your luck was below average.

Then on May 5, 2026,
I’d gotten to +16 fairly early in the season,
but maybe because of that, my terrible luck somehow stuck around all through Season 1,
and I was in danger of having to take +17 all the way to pity too.

At that point, with enhancement points at 88.8%,
Nerys came through and stopped me from hitting the pity ceiling,
and I luckily landed the +17.
After pulling off a super save like that,
Nerys became my number one recommended enhancement hot spot.
Blacksmiths with pretty questionable results
Blacksmiths

Fergus in Tir Chonaill
was infamous even back in the original Mabinogi.
Personally, I wouldn’t recommend handing your gear over to him too casually.

Armis in Colhen
wasn’t someone I intentionally avoided, but I just didn’t run into him very often.
So naturally, I’ve never actually had him handle any enhancements either.

Osla in Emain Macha
kind of looks sloppy and not very skilled,
so I thought maybe the twist would be that she’d actually be great at enhancement—
but nope, she really just wasn’t that good.
Personally, I wouldn’t recommend her.
If you hate all of them,
make your own lucky spot!

If you’re not feeling the blacksmith NPCs,
you can also set up a Campfire and do engraving enhancement there.
You can even enhance on the guild ship too!
Running around from place to place and finding your own personal enhancement hot spot
feels kind of romantic in its own way, doesn’t it?

Thanks to Nerys, I managed to avoid hitting +17 pity,
so I think there’s a good chance I can make it to +18 within Season 1.
Which blacksmith NPC has helped you out the most?
