What do you all do while grinding? I usually work on blog posts or watch dramas or YouTube videos. Ever since getting Sol Janus to level 10, grinding has been almost hands-off, so leveling has been nice and relaxed.

Lately, I’ve been binge-watching anime I love or have been meaning to watch. Having something fun to watch while grinding makes the time fly, and I love feeling like I’m getting more out of my day!

I’ve put together my TOP3 must-watch anime to make your grinding sessions even more rewarding. Hopefully you’ll find something here for your next session—let’s get into it!

1. Daemons of the Shadow Realm

First up is Daemons of the Shadow Realm. A lot of you probably recognized the art style right away! It’s a dark fantasy anime based on the first new series in 11 years from the creator of the mega-hit Fullmetal Alchemist.

The series has already sold 6 million copies, and the anime adaptation announcement brought it even more attention. Only 7 episodes are out as of this writing, so now feels like a great time to jump in.

Fullmetal Alchemist is my all-time favorite anime, so I’m planning to binge-watch Daemons of the Shadow Realm all the way through.

1. My Hero Academia

My second pick is My Hero Academia. This shonen series has just about everything people love: school life, action, superpowers, and more. It’s so popular that you’ve probably heard of it already.

The characters are all appealing, and even the villains have their own backstories. Everyone around me has nothing but praise for it! The ending is a little disappointing, and some scenes get pretty graphic, but it’s still worth watching despite those drawbacks. If you enjoy a cartoon-style art direction, this one should be right up your alley!

1. SLAM DUNK

The last classic I’d like to recommend is SLAM DUNK. I bet a lot of you saw the title and thought, “Hmm… isn’t that a bit old?” I thought the same thing and put off watching it for over 10 years. Now that I’m finally watching it, though, I get why people call it a masterpiece.

I do like basketball, which makes it even more fun for me, but I think there’s plenty to enjoy even if you’re not a basketball fan. Some of the storytelling feels a little dated, but the plot moves quickly without dragging things out. With its mix of youthful energy, romance, and comedy, it’s an easy, fun watch.

That wraps up my TOP3 must-watch anime to enjoy while playing MapleStory! Plenty of other great titles come to mind, but I stuck to ones you can easily watch on Netflix. If I write another post like this, I’ll let my anime-fan side shine a little more. Thanks for reading!
