Hello, I’m 게임하늘.

My Pirate has finally reached level 30! In MapleStory, that means the second job advancement is now available. It is time to take the next step. How does a Pirate complete the second job advancement? Today, we will walk through the process.

Let’s get started.

Kyrin

To complete your second job advancement, you first need to visit your job instructor. For Pirates, that is Kyrin, so start by speaking to her.

Kyrin asks if you have reached level 30 already. She says you have come to the right place if you want to become a Brawler.

The advancement must be earned, however. Kyrin asks you to prove how strong you have become through your training. Brawlers defeat enemies using only their bodies and fists, so punching is central to their fighting style. To become a powerful fistfighter, you will need to prove yourself.

She explains that the test is simple: fight monsters called Octopirates and collect 15 Potent Power Crystals. There is one restriction, though. Octopirates are immune to other skills and attacks, so you must use Flash Fist.

Starting the Quest

Now it is time to begin the quest. Speak to Kyrin and select the dialogue option I have something to tell you.

She asks if you have come to take the test and would like to enter the test area now. Select Yes to enter immediately.

You are now in the Pirate test area. Before you can fight the monsters, you will need to get past a few obstacles. Simply jump over them—they are easy to clear, so there is no need to worry.

These small creatures are Octopirates. They are level 35, but they are not particularly strong. Defeat them with Flash Fist to get the Potent Power Crystals shown here. Collect 15 of these crystals.

Once you have used your Pirate’s fists to defeat the Octopirates and collected all 15 Potent Power Crystals, the quest is nearly complete. Speak to Kyrin on the left to leave.

Completing the Second Job Advancement

Speak to Kyrin again to show that you have collected all 15 crystals. You have now proven that you can fight with your fists like a true Pirate. Speak to her once more to officially become a Brawler.

With that, I have become a Brawler, a master of Pirate fistfighting. My goal is to become the Pirate King.

Closing Thoughts

Today, we covered the Pirate’s second job advancement quest for becoming a Gunslinger or Brawler. It would have been a little harder in 메이플랜드, but I found it quite easy, perhaps because I was playing 메이플 플래닛. Not having to seek out a separate second job advancement instructor is also a welcome convenience.

That wraps up this guide from 게임하늘. Thank you for reading!
