Today, I’m back with another guide to 메이플 플레닛, this time covering the Pirate class. In MapleStory, Pirates can become either Gunslingers or Brawlers. Your choice between Gunslinger and Brawler determines how you should allocate your stats and skill points. In this guide, we’ll cover the Pirate’s first-job skill builds.

Abilities and Stats

First, let’s look at ability point allocation. You’ll see two options here: Auto-Assign I and II. Choose Auto-Assign I for the Brawler path or Auto-Assign II for the Gunslinger path. If you make a mistake when allocating stat or skill points, you can use an AP or SP Reset Scroll to reassign them.

Skill Overview

There are 5 skills in total. The attack skills you use generally depend on whether you choose Brawler or Gunslinger. Let’s take a closer look.

First is Bullet Time, a passive Pirate skill that increases accuracy and avoidability. This is an essential stat-boosting skill, so always raise it to MAX.

Next is Flash Fist, a skill for Brawlers. It works much like a Pirate version of Power Strike. It isn’t used very often when grinding, so you can either leave it at 11 points or max it out at 20.

Next is Somersault Kick. This was my favorite skill when I played a Pirate. It can hit up to 6 monsters, making it well suited to grinding. Put around 11 or 20 points into it.

Next is Double Shot, a first-job skill for Gunslingers. If you plan to advance to Gunslinger, I recommend putting 11 points into Somersault Kick and maxing out Double Shot at 20.

Finally, there’s Dash. This movement skill is the Pirate’s equivalent of Flash Jump or Teleport, increasing movement speed and jump height. It’s particularly useful for getting around, so be sure to raise it to MAX.

Gunslinger & Brawler First-Job Skill Builds

Gunslinger	Double Shot 1 -> Bullet Time 20 -> Dash 10 -> Double Shot 20 -> Somersault Kick 11
Brawler	Somersault Kick Build: Flash Fist 1 -> Somersault Kick 20 -> Bullet Time 20 -> Dash 10 -> Flash Fist 11 Dash Build: Bullet Time 20 -> Flash Fist 20 -> Somersault Kick 11 -> Dash 10

The skill builds are listed above, with two options for Brawlers. For grinding, it’s best to raise Somersault Kick to MAX. If you prefer the Dash build, raise Flash Fist to MAX instead.
