If you’ve spent any time with Mabinogi Mobile,

you’ve probably noticed that each server is named after familiar NPCs.

Duncan, Eiry, Deian, and more—

have you ever imagined what it would be like if they all gathered in one place

for a full-on sports festival?

Today, I thought it’d be fun to match the NPCs representing each server

with imaginary events and positions based on their standout traits!

Server Pride on the Line! When the NPCs Meet

This imaginary sports festival can basically be narrowed down to one big showdown between

Team Tir Chonaill and Team Dunbarton.

Team Tir Chonaill is led by Chief Duncan, with Deian, Alissa, and Lassar in the lineup,

while Maeve takes on more of a cheering role from the sidelines than that of an active competitor (partly to keep the numbers even..)

Team Dunbarton is made up of Eiry, Calix, and Molly.

With both teams built on a similar scale, this matchup feels even more intense.

It really looks like the kind of contest that would stay tight from start to finish!

A Speed Showdown! Relay Race

The first event is, of course, the very heart of any sports festival: the relay race.

When it comes to running, Deian has to be the ace.

After all, the reflexes and stamina built up from herding sheep out in the field would be hard for anyone to match.

If Deian explodes off the line at full speed,

it’s easy to picture Molly from Team Dunbarton unexpectedly(?) keeping up with nimble footwork.

Molly appears in a flash wherever the player happens to be,

so with the sharp judgment and meticulousness honed along the way, she’d probably keep Deian under pressure all the way to the finish.

Tug-of-War & Erinn-Style Magical Target Shooting

Next up are tug-of-war and magical target shooting, two events that demand both strength and skill.

In tug-of-war, Alissa from Team Tir Chonaill looks especially promising.

If she brings the same monstrous strength she uses to lift heavy grain sacks with ease,

she’d be an unshakable anchor for Team Tir Chonaill :)

On the other hand, magical target shooting feels like the event where Lassar, the magic teacher, would completely take over.

As Lassar hits every target with precise spellcasting,

it’d also be fascinating to watch Calix from Team Dunbarton respond

by carefully analyzing each trajectory, almost as if he were calculating figures in the office upstairs.

Turning the Tables with Strategy!

Next comes a tile-flipping game where the teams’ masterminds go head-to-head!

The objective is simple: flip more tiles across the field than the other team before time runs out.

For Team Tir Chonaill, the deeply experienced and perceptive

Chief Duncan personally reads the flow of the field and cuts off the opponent’s movement.

Facing him, Eiry of Team Dunbarton

is ready to turn Duncan’s strategy against him with her sharp mind, striking through every opening with clever tactics.

Duncan tries to stay one move ahead, while Eiry looks to break that plan apart!

So which team will walk away with the glory of victory?

The match would probably remain impossible to call right up to the very end,

but if I had to make a cautious prediction, I’d give Team Tir Chonaill the narrow win thanks to their teamwork and overall balance.

That’s because veteran Duncan, speedy Deian, and powerhouse Alissa feel like a particularly well-rounded combination.

That said, Team Dunbarton would still keep things thrilling to the last second with their strong teamwork.

And that wraps up my little imagined sports festival story for Mabinogi Mobile.

I think it’d be a lot of fun if an event built around this kind of sports festival concept actually made it into the game!
