Classic Maple with enough polish to go toe-to-toe with Mapleland! Maple Planet Guide #황금 연휴

Hello, this is Game Sky.
MapleStory Worlds has been blowing up again lately. I was a little late to the trend, but while I was playing Mapleland, MSW introduced me to a new game. Since it’s also been pretty popular recently, I got curious and decided to check it out. So today, we’re taking a look at the RPG Maple Planet.
Let’s get right into it.

What Is Maple Planet? |

Maple Planet first launched as a closed beta in December 2025, and then entered open beta on April 24. Its biggest draw is that it recreates classic Maple from the pre-Big Bang era. The implementation is impressively faithful too, which is a big reason it’s been getting such positive feedback.

The start screen is basically identical to the original Maple. At this point, nothing really stands out as unusual.

For now, you can only choose Adventurer. Dual Blade, Cygnus, Aran, and Evan are listed, but they haven’t been released yet. They’ll probably be added in a future update.

Character setup isn’t much different either. You can customize things like your name, hair, face, and so on.

Gameplay |

At the very beginning, you appear with an Adventurer image like this. Mapleland doesn’t have this kind of opening, but Maple Planet does.

As a Beginner, you still start out through NPCs named Hina and Sera, so that part feels familiar. The way the quest begins here also isn’t all that different.

That said, you do get event benefits right from the start. In Maple Planet, there are two events available.

First, there’s an ongoing buff event. It gives increased EXP gain from quests and party quests, a 300% chance-related boost tied to that, a 300% item drop rate boost excluding boss monsters, and a 100% increase to Meso gain.

Next is a support event for the start of your adventure. It gives out useful items: a 30-day Hedgehog, 10 Hyper Teleport Rocks, and 5 Wheels of Destiny. These can be claimed until August 1, 2026.

By the way, do you remember drop EXP, the extra experience you get from defeating monsters? Honestly, that was one of the things I missed most, so seeing it again in Maple Planet was really nice.

If you head a little farther, you’ll come across Maple Road like this. Most of you probably already know this area.

There’s also a TRADE button that takes you to a place similar to the Maple Auction. From there, you can buy whatever items you want. In Mapleland, you usually have to use MapleGG or other external sites to buy items, but here the trade system is built right into the game, which makes things much more convenient.

I eventually made it to Nautilus and went for the Pirate job advancement. Also, items you sold earlier can be repurchased here.

Anyway, I successfully advanced to Pirate. DEX is for Gunslinger, while STR is for Infighter. If you use auto-distribution, you can handle the stat setup pretty easily.

Today, I tried out Maple Planet. Beyond just how faithfully it recreates the original, you can really tell it was designed with player convenience in mind, from the EXP rates and item drop rates to trading and even repurchasing sold items. If Mapleland’s high difficulty has been leaving you seriously fatigued, this is one I’d recommend.
This has been Game Sky. Thanks for reading!
