If MapleStory characters held their own sports day, who would come out on top?!

Hello to all my fellow Nexon game fans,

Jaepamin here!

Now that the weather’s gotten a lot milder, it feels like all kinds of events are popping up at get-togethers, workplaces, and schools. And of course, you can’t leave out a sports day! So I put together a fun little scenario imagining what it would be like if MapleStory characters held their own sports festival. :)

Participating Teams

  • Adventurers : Hero, Bishop, Marksman, Shadower

  • Cygnus Knights : Soul Master, Flame Wizard, Wind Breaker, Striker

  • Heroes : Aran, Evan, Mercedes, Phantom

  • Resistance : Blaster, Battle Mage, Wild Hunter, Xenon

  • Nova : Kaiser, Kain , Angelic Buster, Khali

Sports Day Events

Relay race : Everyone participates

Archery : Marksman vs Wind Breaker vs Mercedes vs Wild Hunter vs Angelic Buster

Tug-of-war : Everyone participates

Kendo : Hero vs Soul Master vs Aran vs Xenon vs Kaiser

Piñata smashing : Everyone participates

Winners by Event

1. Relay Race : Cygnus Knights Team

The relay race goes to the Cygnus Knights team with their sheer knack for speed! Flame Wizard stands out with Flash Jump as the only mage here who uses it, Wind Breaker is a must-mention when it comes to mobility, and Striker can zip along the water at incredible speed. That lineup is just too hard to beat!

2. Archery : Marksman (Wild Hunter disqualified)

In archery, Marksman from the Adventurers team takes the win with that long-range sniping power! I can totally see Wild Hunter trying it while riding a jaguar... and getting disqualified.

3. Tug-of-War : Heroes Team

The Heroes team wins tug-of-war, and it makes sense with so many heavy hitters gathered in one group. Phantom alone is skilled enough to take on the Black Mage’s gang, so in a straight-up power battle, the other side probably wouldn’t be able to keep up.

4. Kendo : Hero

Hero takes first place in kendo. Xenon’s sword is basically a beam saber, so that would probably mean disqualification, and no matter how many strong contenders show up, they just can’t match the veteran edge of Hero, who has been part of MapleStory’s history from the very beginning.

5. Piñata Smashing : Heroes Team

The Heroes team also wins the piñata smashing event. Even putting Phantom aside, who’s stopping Evan’s dragon? The other teams are definitely strong too, of course, but in terms of the world setting, I’d place the Heroes second only to Zero.

And that wraps up my little MapleStory sports day simulation! I think it would be so much fun to see this turned into an animation someday. Thanks for reading!
