Hello!

I'm 피스타임, a Nexon Picker.

Most new anime-style games these days

have an affection system.

One of Nexon's leading anime-style games,

Blue Archive, is no exception.

Raise Your Relationship Rank!

Shower Them with Gifts

Blue Archive handles its affection quests

through the Relationship Rank system.

As you raise their Relationship Rank, students send you MomoTalk messages,

and the dialogue feels like a real text conversation, which makes these exchanges fun to read.

Each student has their own favorite gifts,

and giving them those gifts earns you a bigger affection boost.

Raising affection gives their stats a small boost

and gradually unlocks their Relationship Stories.

Rio's Relationship Story!

Blue Archive has plenty of characters with distinct personalities,

and one of my favorites, Tsukatsuki Rio,

seems like the calculating, intelligent villain type,

but underneath it all, she's a total klutz.

She never orders food delivery for security reasons,

instead living on discounted boxed meals and frozen food,

and there's something both funny and sad about her idea of a “rational” choice.

After Sensei goes to the trouble of cooking for Rio despite some questionable cooking skills

and even receiving packages for her,

Rio surprises Sensei with a confession,

but it goes completely over Sensei's head.

The final Relationship Rank story in Blue Archive

rewards you with a Recollection Lobby illustration.

Sensei visits her hideout as promised, only for both of them to end up flustered—

because Rio's hideout is absolutely littered with trash.

It turns out her cleaning skills are just as nonexistent as her cooking skills.

So Sensei ends up helping clean Rio's hideout…

The Recollection Lobby picks up where the story scene leaves off,

showing her watching Sensei climb up to clear away the trash.

Even if her everyday life skills are close to 0,

when it comes to building robots, technical know-how, and gathering intel,

her talents in those areas are extraordinary,

so part of me thinks that might be enough.

Meanwhile, Sensei's cleaning skills are seriously impressive.

Could Sensei have the best everyday life skills in all of Blue Archive..?

By the way, an alternate version of Rio,

무장 리오, has been announced for release in late May.

With Rio suiting up for combat and heading to the front lines herself,

I'm looking forward to her Relationship Story and seeing what side of her it reveals!
