Since April 3, Maple Island IN Lotte World Adventure has been open.

On top of that, the Maple Attack with Lotte collaboration event runs through June 14, so if you play MapleStory, this is a period you will want to take advantage of.

Why you should install the app first

The first thing to do before your visit is install the Lotte World app.

​

If you book on-site, you may end up waiting in line for more than 30 minutes, while the app makes it easy to check partner benefits and reserve tickets right away. Since the attraction is still in its early run and crowds are heavy, a weekday visit is recommended, especially on a weekday morning.

After booking, open the Magic Island tab in the app map to check real-time wait times and reserve your spot for the attraction you want in one place.

Once you start moving around the park, time goes by faster than expected. For key programs such as the 2 PM parade show and Pink Bean photo time from 12:30 PM to 5:30 PM, set app reminders in advance so you do not miss them.

How to get to Maple Island

Maple Island is not inside the indoor Lotte World area. It is located in the outdoor Magic Island section.

After exiting Jamsil Station through Exit 3 or 4, make your way from the Lotte World Annual Pass Center to the Adventure Wild Tour Gate.

This is not a completely separate zone made up only of Maple Island content. Instead, MapleStory-themed elements are woven throughout the existing Magic Island attractions.

For that reason, rather than rushing straight to a ride as soon as you arrive, it is better to take one full lap first and get a sense of where the photo zones, goods shop, gacha, and attractions are.

What to do while looking around

On your first lap around the area, it is worth clearing about two QR missions first.

​

QR missions are set up throughout Maple Island, and two simple ones take only about 2 to 3 minutes to finish. Once you do, you can pick up a 10% discount coupon for the goods shop.

Popular items sell out quickly, so if there is merchandise you really want, it is better to buy it early even if that means carrying it around for the rest of the visit.

That is also the best time to use the discount coupon you picked up in advance.

Recommended attractions

Arcana Ride

Maple Island has four main attractions.

If you are sensitive to rides, it makes sense to start with Arcana Ride and Eos Tower.

​

Arcana Ride works well for families with children, and its quick turns give it a fun, slightly unexpected edge.

Eos Tower

Eos Tower is a ride that repeats gentle climbs and drops, and it is relaxed enough that you can even talk with the person next to you. If you are not afraid of heights, it is very manageable, and because the ride opens up views of the surrounding area as you go up, it is especially worth trying around sunset or at night when you can also take in the night view of Seokchon Lake.

Stone Express

Stone Express is a mid-to-low intensity roller coaster. If you are weak with rides, you may want to skip it, but there are no sudden steep drops or extremely scary sections, so it is still very approachable if you want to give it a try.

Pink Bean Gyro Spin

Pink Bean Gyro Spin swings back and forth in a semicircle like a Viking ride while also rotating, so if you are prone to motion sickness or generally not good with rides, it is better to pass on this one.

Beyond the rides, make time for photos at the photo zones on Adventure 1F, at the Magic Island entrance, and throughout the area.

If you stay into the evening, you can also enjoy the Maple Island lighting atmosphere alongside Magic Castle Lights Up.
