The moment you put down that last midterm exam paper, that mix of relief and emptiness hits all at once. Right on cue, several online games are running burning events at exactly the perfect time.

So here, I’m highlighting the games that have only recently kicked off their events.

MapleStory Change Burning Lucid

This is the centerpiece event for MapleStory’s 23rd anniversary. It’s a growth-support event where you directly control Lucid through your own character, while raising both Lucid and a level 200+ main character at the same time.

Lucid-exclusive skills 'Finis Somnia' and 'Elemental Fantasm'

When you designate a character for Change Burning, the Change: Lucid skill is added to that character’s beginner skills, and using it transforms your character straight into Lucid.

In Lucid form, you level Lucid up through hunting and missions, and at specific level milestones, rewards are given to both your main character and Lucid.

Lucid merch is out too

So you get the fun of playing Lucid firsthand, while also giving your main character a real boost if its progression has started to slow down. It’s also great for quickly building an alt, which makes this a tough event to skip for both new and returning players.

DNF Mobile Male Fighter Highway

Create a Male Fighter and you’ll get a Next Highway Ticket, letting you hit max level in just 30 minutes and jump straight into farming.

Since the existing Next Highway event runs until 6 a.m. on May 28, you can raise two characters in total, including Male Fighter.

​

The newly added Male Fighter in DNF Mobile can advance to either Striker or Street Fighter, and both are drawing plenty of attention right now thanks to their strong performance.

I’ve been having way too much fun throwing out Hectopascal Kicks lately.

In particular, Striker can charge a skill for 15 seconds and unleash 21 times its normal damage. As long as you survive the charge-up, you can erase a boss in one hit and get that top-tier dopamine rush.

Elsword Storm Growth Opportunity

This event has you create a new event character and clear exclusive quests in order to receive a wide range of growth support rewards.

You can power-level at a very fast pace up to level 99 and 3rd job Master Class, and simply logging in gets you a +11 Enhancement Effect Elixir.

Round 1 runs from after maintenance on Thursday, April 23, 2026, to before maintenance on Thursday, May 7, while Round 2 runs from after maintenance on Thursday, May 7, to before maintenance on Thursday, May 21. You can participate once per account in each round.

There was also a major convenience-focused overhaul update recently, and the Nexon Cash event for new and returning adventurers is still underway, so this is a pretty good time to log back in after a break.

Asgard SPRING-UP Update

A lot of players have probably dropped in now and then for nostalgia’s sake, only to find the low resolution made it hard to stay for long. This time, though, the game finally got a 16:9 resolution upgrade and UI overhaul update, making the overall experience much more comfortable.

On top of that, a new growth system has been introduced, along with support for the Dawn equipment set, so new players can settle in more easily than before.

There’s also settlement support for new and returning players, a Blurz support event, Ia’s Blessing, and a 1.3x boost to Celestial enhancement success rates.

You can also kick back at the Noname Resort hot springs, earn EXP, and catch special fish through fishing, so if Asgard still holds a spot in your memories, this is a great time to return.
