MapleStory is celebrating Children’s Day with an event!

It’s MapleStory’s take on what’s commonly known as the “watermelon game.”

Watermelon games usually reward you for creating a “watermelon.”

Thankfully, MapleStory bases its rewards on your cumulative score instead.

That means you just need to keep playing.

The reward milestones are cumulative scores of 3 thousand, 10 thousand, and 30 thousand points.

Still, you might find it harder than expected, with points adding up more slowly than you’d like.

I’ll show you a quick, easy way to earn them.

Strategy

To be clear, this guide isn’t about carefully working your way up to a Pink Bean.

Instead, we’ll focus on earning points efficiently to build up your cumulative score quickly.

Let’s get started.

First, launch the minigame.

After a few rounds, I noticed that the play area is a little wider than in a typical watermelon game.

That made me wonder whether a low-effort approach might work, so I tried it out.

Keep dropping all your monsters around the red line shown here.

The key is to drop them slightly to the left of the far-right edge, rather than right against it, so they have room to roll around.

You can keep dropping them in that same spot.

The play area is wide enough that your score still builds up quite nicely.

A round usually finishes within about 2 minutes.

You’ll earn around 1,000–2,000 points per round.
