This time, the focus is on Children's Day and the in-game events celebrating it.

This post looks at the Children's Day event currently running in MapleStory, along with those held in recent years.

2026 Children's Day Event: Maple Monsters

Maple Monsters, the 2026 Children's Day event, began at 10:00 on April 30 and runs until May 6.

This minigame is inspired by the well-known Suika Game. Players who have tried it say the larger play area makes it easier than the original.

Instead of fruit, the game uses balls modeled after MapleStory monsters. The point value for each is shown above.

The rewards shown below are available at cumulative scores of 3,000, 10,000, and 30,000 points.

The Pepe set includes a hat, an outfit, and a bag, and its design has been well received.

It was surprising to see skilled Suika Game players reaching 10,000, 20,000, and even 30,000 points in a single round. Most players, though, are probably trying this type of game for the first time through this minigame.

For newcomers, the game is engaging enough to be worth spending some time on. Simply clicking repeatedly without much thought can also earn around 1,500–2,500 points per round, depending on your luck, so either approach is an option.

There appear to be rewards only for cumulative scores, rather than for your highest score in a single round, which suggests the game is designed to let players enjoy it however they prefer. Reaching 99,999 points reportedly counts as clearing the game, so it will be interesting to see whether anyone manages it.

One thing to watch out for: the minigame can currently be played in the VIP Sauna, but if your sauna time runs out during a round, the game ends without adding your score to your total. Be sure to check how much time you have left.

Finally, the game was reportedly released as a solo experience to begin with, leaving open the possibility of other formats later, depending on player feedback.

2025 Children's Day Event: Children's (Yeti's) Day!

Children's (Yeti's) Day!, the 2022 Children's Day event, involved finding young Yetis in the snowy region of El Nath and showing them around Maple University, the event map available at the time.

The current event's mention of Yeti once having the spotlight all to itself refers to this event. Even the title puts Yeti at the center.

Rewards included Yeti-related items.

2024 Children's Day Event: Springtime Paper Airplanes

Paper Airplanes of Memories, the 2024 Children's Day event, was a simple quiz event tied to that year's anniversary event.

Players first bought food for Spiegelmann.

They then fulfilled 어빈's request to complete the event. The Magic Paper Airplane skill, found in the event tab, let players earn EXP while AFK during the anniversary event running at the time.

Rewards included event coins and a chair that let players sit alongside their Legion characters.

2023 Children's Day Event: Guess My Drawing!

Guess My Drawing!, the 2023 Children's Day event, featured a somewhat unusual picture quiz. Looking back at the guide I wrote at the time, the questions were fairly challenging. The event would likely have been difficult without the community working together.

2022 Children's Day Event: Nostalgic Puzzles

Nostalgic Puzzles, the 2022 Children's Day event, was a puzzle minigame, just as the name suggests.

It had 3 stages, with players assembling a total of three pictures. As it was a cooperative game, players sometimes encountered AFK teammates.

Players earned coins to spend in the event coin shop available at the time.

This puzzle game returned once in a later event as a way to earn EXP, but it has not appeared again in nearly 4 years.
