Looking Back at MapleStory’s Children’s Day Events #어린이날

Hello
This time, the keyword is Children’s Day, so we’ll be looking at the Children’s Day events currently being held in games.
With that in mind, this post takes a look at the Children’s Day event currently running in MapleStory, along with the kinds of events that have been held in recent years.
Children’s Day Event for 2026: Maple Monsters

The 2026 Children’s Day event, Maple Monsters, began at 10:00 on April 30 and runs through May 6.

This is a minigame based on the well-known Suika Game, and according to players who have tried it, the larger play area makes it easier than the original.

Instead of fruits, the game uses balls modeled after MapleStory monsters, and the score values are shown above.

There are cumulative score rewards at 3,000, 10,000, and 30,000 points, as shown below.

The Pepe set consists of a hat, outfit, and bag, and overall the response seems quite positive.

It was honestly surprising to see that some players who are very skilled at Suika Game can hit 10,000, 20,000, or even 30,000 points in a single round. That said, for most players, this event was probably their first time trying this kind of minigame.
The game itself is pretty addictive, so it can be worth putting some time into. On the other hand, even if you just play casually and mash through it a bit, luck permitting, you can still get around 1,500 to 2,500 points in one round, so it really comes down to personal preference.
Since there does not seem to be any reward tied to your highest single-round score aside from the cumulative score rewards, it looks like the event was designed so players can enjoy it however they like. It is also said that the game is considered cleared once you reach 99,999 points, so it will be interesting to see whether anyone manages it.

One thing to watch out for: this minigame can currently also be played in the VIP Sauna, but if your allowed sauna time runs out mid-game, the run is treated as ended and your score will not be added. That part is worth checking before you start.
Lastly, this game was released first and foremost as a solo-play mode, so depending on player response, there is still a chance it could return in other formats later on.
Children’s Day Event for 2025: Children’s (Yeti’s) Day!

Children’s (Yeti’s) Day!, which was the Children’s Day event in 2022, had players find young Yetis in the snowy region of El Nath and show them the Maple University event map that was running at the time.

The line in this event mentioning that Yeti once had a solo starring role is referring to this event. From the title alone, Yeti was clearly the main focus.

The rewards were Yeti-related items.
Children’s Day Event for 2024: Springtime Paper Airplane

Springtime Paper Airplane, the 2024 Children’s Day event, was a simple quiz event tied to that year’s anniversary event.

First, you had to buy food for Spiegelmann.

Then, once you fulfilled Arwin’s request, the event was completed. The Magic Paper Airplane skill was also part of the anniversary event at the time, and it let players gain AFK EXP through the event tab.

The rewards included event coins and a chair that lets you sit together with your Union character.
Children’s Day Event for 2023: Guess My Drawing!

Guess My Drawing!, the 2023 Children’s Day event, was a slightly unusual drawing quiz. Looking back at the guide I wrote at the time, the difficulty was fairly decent, so without a bit of community effort, it might have been a tricky event.

I’ve listed the answers separately below, so if you feel like it, you can try guessing them first.
-
Character Quiz: Look at the drawing and talk to the matching character

-
Monster Quiz: Look at the drawing and bring the Etc. item dropped by that monster

-
Item Quiz: Look at the drawing and bring the matching item

The rewards were the items shown above.
-
Character Quiz Answers: Shane (Ellinia) / Ungi (Kerning City) / Carta (Aquarium) / Chief Tatamo (Leafre) / Pia (Henesys)
-
Monster Quiz Answers: Lioner / Pepe / Ribbon Pig / Rash / Jr. Necki
-

Children’s Day Event for 2022: Nostalgic Puzzle Play

Nostalgic Puzzle Play, the 2022 Children’s Day event, was, as the name suggests, a puzzle minigame.

It consisted of 3 stages in total, so the format was to complete three pictures overall. Since it was a co-op game, there were also times when you ended up with teammates who went AFK.

The reward was coins that could be used in the event coin shop at the time.

This puzzle game also showed up once more in a later event as an EXP-rewarding game, but since then, it has not returned for nearly 4 years.
Thank you for reading.
