Today’s Children’s Day—the whooole woorld for us kids~ What do you all think of when Children’s Day comes around? For me, it’s getting the presents I really wanted, and being able to play games all day long without holding back.

I used to play a lot of Nexon games every Children’s Day, and the ones I remember most are KartRider and MapleStory—jumping back and forth between them and having a blast with friends. And since a game called Maple Planet just launched on MapleStory Worlds, I figured I’d put together a quick intro post.

So, what is Maple Planet?

Maple Planet is an RPG that recreates Maple before the 2010 Big Bang update. It’s not an illegal private server or anything—it’s an officially released game on MapleStory Worlds, so you can dive in without worrying!

One of Maple Planet’s biggest strengths is that EXP gain, item drop rates, and Meso gain all have boosted multipliers. That smooths over the usual downsides like “nostalgia alone isn’t enough to carry it” or “it takes too long if you just want to have fun,” so even busy working adults can hop in without feeling pressured.

The classes aren’t limited to Adventurers, either—apparently Cygnus and Aran are planned as well. Along with Warriors, Mages, Thieves, and Archers, Pirate classes have already been added, so there’s a lot to have fun with. I’m raising a Captain right now, actually.

Early-game leveling is optimized too. After your first job advancement, you can head into NPC King Yeonhae’s job training grounds and just power straight to level 20. Since both quests and monsters get the EXP multiplier, leveling goes by nice and fast. It’s also great that EXP packs drop while you’re out hunting monsters.

Most of all, the convenience features are really well done. Back then, trading was such a hassle—you had to go find users one by one, or look for someone to buy your item and then send it through delivery.

Maple Planet has a marketplace feature, so you can comfortably buy or sell the items you want right in town. Since it clears up those annoying little hassles and also has boosted rates, a lot of users are gathering there right now.

If you want to revisit those old memories and raise one of MapleStory’s cute characters, I think Maple Planet is definitely worth a quick try. I’m planning to push to 4th job advancement myself. Thanks for reading!
