It’s Children’s Day, a day for a~ll of u~s ki~ds~ What comes to mind when you think of Children’s Day? For me, it’s getting presents I’d been wishing for and being able to play games all day to my heart’s content.

I used to spend Children’s Day playing Nexon games, and I have fond memories of switching between KartRider and MapleStory with a friend. As it happens, a game called 메이플 플래닛 has launched on MapleStory Worlds, so I thought I’d put together a quick introduction.

What is 메이플 플래닛?

메이플 플래닛 is an RPG that recreates MapleStory as it was before the 2010 Big Bang update. It’s not an illegal private server—it’s officially released on MapleStory Worlds, so there’s no need to worry!

One of the perks of 메이플 플래닛 is its boosted EXP, item drop, and meso rates. These help with those familiar complaints that nostalgia alone can’t carry you through the grind, or that it takes too long to get to the fun. Even if work keeps you busy, you can give it a try without feeling overwhelmed.

The classes aren’t limited to Explorers, either: Cygnus Knights, Aran, and more are planned for release. Alongside Warriors, Magicians, Thieves, and Bowmen, the Pirate class branch has already been added, so there’s plenty to enjoy. I’m leveling a Corsair myself.

Early-game leveling has been streamlined, too. After your job advancement, you can head to NPC 왕연해’s job training grounds and work your way straight up to level 20. The EXP multiplier applies to both quests and monsters, so leveling goes quickly. Monsters also drop EXP packs, which is a nice bonus.

Best of all, the quality-of-life features are nicely done. Trading used to be a hassle: you had to track down players individually, or find a buyer for your item and then send it through the delivery service.

메이플 플래닛 adds a marketplace where you can easily buy and sell items while in town. With those little hassles taken care of and boosted rates to help things along, it’s no wonder so many players are flocking to the game.
