Everyone knows May 5 is Children's Day. My own childhood is long behind me, and I'm now old enough to have nieces and nephews.

When it comes to games, though, event announcements still bring out the kid in me. With that in mind, I've put together a roundup of Nexon games currently running Children's Day events.

MapleStory

From April 30 to May 6, reach a total score of 30,000 in the Maple Monsters minigame to earn a Maple Monsters Chair, a Maple Attack Flume Mount Coupon, and a Pepe Set Coupon. All of these items are permanent, so be sure to collect them before the event ends.

The real-world attractions are also worth a visit. Maple Island has opened at Lotte World's Magic Island in Jamsil.

The third Maple Leaf Playground has also opened at Seoul Children's Grand Park. If you're deciding where to go on Children's Day, these are good options to consider.

Elsword

EXP and drop rates will be doubled on May 1, 2, 3, and 5. On May 5 only, you can also become a pint-sized El Search Party member in town and explore with your newly shrunken character.

There are plenty of login rewards, too. Log in from April 30 at 10 a.m. until maintenance begins on May 7 to receive [Cobo] Children's Day Gift Exchange Tickets. Collect them to exchange for a range of items, including an Accessory Selection Cube.

On May 1 and May 5, logging in for just 10 minutes will earn you a [Cobo] 2 Infinite Potions (1 Day) Cube, containing an Infinite Refined Recovery Potion (1 Day) and an Infinite Fighting Spirit Potion (1 Day).

Mabinogi Mobile

The recent addition of the new Knight class makes this an ideal time to return.

Mabinogi Mobile lets you choose your character's age, and many players raise their characters almost as if they were their own children. In that sense, it may be the most fitting game for Children's Day.

Log in between April 30 and May 6 during the Children's Day On-Time Event to receive Advanced–Epic Alchemy Recombustion Catalysts. If you've been considering a return, now is your chance.

Vindictus

Complete daily missions during the event, which runs from April 30 to May 14 at 9 a.m., to earn Animal Friend Tokens.

You can exchange these tokens for items such as 리엘's Toy Weapon Selection Box, a Teddy Bear Backpack Selection Box, and a Bunny Ear Headband.

Vindictus makes dressing up your character both enjoyable and rewarding. Consider logging in for a few relaxed raid runs and collecting the event rewards along the way.

Sudden Attack

Sudden Attack, a household name in Korean gaming, has launched a chat event celebrating its own take on Children's Day.

From April 30 to May 5, you can earn rewards each day by entering that day's designated phrase in all chat. It works much like redeeming a coupon code.

On the final day, May 5, you can get permanent Rabbit/Duck Art Grenades, so be sure to collect them.

Other events and updates are also available, including Speed Weapon Challenge mode, the Sudden Guide update, and an event celebrating the launch of the Old Palace map. They're worth a look, too.
