A full roundup of Children’s Day events in Nexon games for grown-up kid-at-heart fans

Everyone knows May 5 is Children’s Day. I’m well past being a child myself, and now I’m at the age where I have nieces and nephews who are.

Still, when it comes to games, I can’t help turning into a kid again whenever event news pops up. With that in mind, I put together a quick roundup of Nexon games currently running Children’s Day events.

MapleStory

From April 30 to May 6, reaching a cumulative score of 30,000 points in the Maple Monsters mini-game will earn you the Maple Monsters Chair, Maple Attack Plume Riding Exchange Ticket, and Pepe Set Exchange Ticket. All of them are permanent items, so they’re well worth claiming before the event ends.

The offline side is worth a look too. Maple Island has opened at Lotte World Magic Island in Jamsil,

and Maple Leaf Playground No. 3 is now open at Seoul Children’s Grand Park. If you’re still deciding where to go for Children’s Day, either one would be a good pick.

Elsword

On May 1, 2, 3, and 5, double EXP and drop rates will be active. Then on May 5 only, you can become a little scout in town and explore the area in a shrunken form.

The login rewards are generous as well. If you log in from 10:00 AM on April 30 until before maintenance on May 7, you can receive a [Cobo] Children’s Day Gift Exchange Ticket, which you can collect and trade for various items, including an Accessory Select Cube.

On May 1 and May 5, staying logged in for just 10 minutes will also get you a [Cobo] Infinite Potion 2 Types (1 Day) Cube, which includes an Infinite Refined Recovery Potion (1 Day) and Infinite Fighting Spirit Potion (1 Day).

Mabinogi Mobile

With the recent update adding the new Knight class, this feels like an especially good time to come back.

Mabinogi Mobile lets you set your character’s age directly, so plenty of players end up raising them almost like a daughter or son. In that sense, it may be the game on this list that fits Children’s Day best.

For the Children’s Day on-time event, logging in between April 30 and May 6 will earn you a High-Grade~Epic Alchemy Recombustion Catalyst, so if you’ve been thinking about returning, this is a good opportunity.

Vindictus

From April 30 to 9:00 AM on May 14, you can earn Animal Friend Tokens by completing daily missions during the event period.

These tokens can be exchanged for items such as Liel’s Toy Weapon Selection Box, Teddy Bear Backpack Selection Box, and Rabbit Ear Headband.

Vindictus is a game where dressing up your character is genuinely fun, and the results feel worth it too. It’s a nice excuse to log in for a bit, run a light raid or two, and pick up the event rewards while you’re there.

Sudden Attack

Sudden Attack has kicked off a Children’s Day chat event.

From April 30 to May 5, you can earn rewards each day by entering the phrase for that day in all-chat, which makes it feel a bit like redeeming a coupon code.

On the final day, May 5, you can get the permanent Art Tan Rabbit/Duck, so this is one to make sure you claim.

There are several other events running as well, including Speed Weapon Challenge mode, the Sudden Guide update, and the event celebrating the opening of Gogung, so it’s a good time to jump in and take a look.
