Did you know you can now spot MapleStory characters at Lotte World too? A Maple Island theme park has opened, filled with attractions and merchandise based on the MapleStory IP!

I’m planning to visit sometime in May, and before I go, I wanted to get a clear idea of what’s there. I thought a lot of other people might feel the same way, so I put together a simple summary of the key details.

4 Attractions

There are four Maple Island attractions at Lotte World: Stone Express, Arcana Ride, Eos Tower, and Gyro Spin. If you like amusement parks, you can probably guess what kind of rides they are just from the names.

The restrictions are fairly minimal, and anyone who is at least 110 cm tall can enjoy all of the attractions. Even if you’re like me and not a huge ride person, these still seem easy to enjoy.

Maple director Kim Changseop, BTS Jin, and TXT Beomgyu all picked ‘Arcana Ride’ as their top pick. It looks calm at first, then suddenly switches things up with quick cornering. Since it’s a two-person ride, it may not feel quite as dynamic as it looks in the GIF, but I think that actually makes it even more fun to ride together.

One attraction to keep in mind is Gyro Spin. It’s a circular ride where you spin while facing the opposite side, so if you do not handle intense rides well, this one may not be for you. Even Kim Changseop started out smiling and laughing, then quickly lost that expression.

Maple Island Goods

After the attractions, cute goods are waiting for you. The lineup includes plushies of iconic Maple monsters, along with string bags, hooded blankets, memo pad sets, plush pen holders, and more. I’m planning to buy the Red Snail plush pen holder because it’s just too cute.

I’m also planning to pick up the Toben Hair Hero plush and Papulatus plush. The Papulatus plush looks especially high-quality, and its colorful design makes it feel like a great piece to keep on display.

I haven’t visited yet and have only seen Maple Island through YouTube and the official website, but it already looks even better than I expected, so I’m really excited. +_+
