How do you remember those special moments in games? I've long enjoyed keeping a record of my gaming experiences. In fact, I started a NAVER blog just to keep a gaming diary. That habit has stayed with me, and I've kept up my own little gaming diary #아카이빙 project.

I no longer write in my gaming diary regularly, but one habit has stayed with me: pressing the screenshot button without thinking. When I'm playing, my fingers move before I even realize it. My screenshot folder keeps filling up with pictures of my characters, records of events I've taken part in, and happy moments with friends.

A Few Memorable Moments!

01. A Golden Safe Win!

This was during the Gold Richie's Secret Safe event last August! Of all the passwords submitted only once, the 500 lowest numbers won. I was lucky enough to be one of the winners and received 80 Black Cubes as my reward.

I was so excited when the results were announced and the number I'd chosen started sparkling…! Sadly, I didn't get great results from the cubes, but just winning was enough to make me happy :)

02. A Birthday Miracle with Masterpiece!

This happened in early April! A new Master Label set had been released, so I tried Masterpiece for the first time in a while and was lucky enough to get a 1-year Master Label weapon. It was my birthday that day, and I remember being so happy—it felt like MapleStory had given me a birthday present :)

03. Waiting for the Hot Time Results!

I can't leave out the MapleStory Hot Time event held on the 22nd, either. It was the first Hot Time in a long while, and Jin from BTS was going to host it himself, so I was really excited to log in.

The town was packed, and so many of my friends and guildmates were online. While we waited for the winners to be announced, my friends and I chatted away in town, telling each other, “I'm going to win!!” “No, I'm going to win!” But when the results came out... sadly, none of us won ㅠ.ㅠ

Still, just sharing that excitement with my friends made it a wonderful memory. I hope there's another Hot Time event! It had been a while since I'd enjoyed something like that so much ㅎㅎ

That's a little glimpse into my gaming #아카이빙!

I've found that even when nothing extraordinary happens in a game, simply being there in that moment is reason enough to keep a record of it. I think that's why looking through those screenshots later feels so special.

Why not take a screenshot here and there as you play, too? When you look back at them later, I'm sure they'll bring back fond memories.
