When you've put time and care into a character, it's natural to want a special way to capture them.

You might play photographer, putting care into every screenshot, or touch up your shots in a program like Photoshop.

Today, I'll show you something a little different: how to use ChatGPT to create a photorealistic version of your character.

Creating a Photorealistic Version of Your Character

Reference images are key when asking ChatGPT to create a photorealistic version of your character.

For example, let's give it images of Arona from Blue Archive, Nao from Mabinogi, and Ella from DNF, and simply ask it to make them photorealistic.

The results aren't bad, but the faces all look rather similar.

For the next attempt, I prepared an image of my Mabinogi Mobile character—the one I wanted to make photorealistic—along with a reference image.

I supplied both images and included specific instructions.

It might do a good job without those instructions, but being specific makes it more likely to get things right on the first try.

I was quite happy with the result.

I tried the same prompt with the 나노 바나나2 프로 model several times, but the results weren't particularly satisfying. ChatGPT captured the look I wanted on the very first try.

I also asked it to create a magazine cover, which seems to be a popular format these days.

There are a few errors in the Korean text, but it looks natural at a glance. The English is flawless.

You can also specify the exact wording you want it to use. I've found that it handles text with almost no mistakes these days.

However, free ChatGPT users can hit their limit after around 4 requests and have to wait 24 hours to use it again. It's worth using those requests carefully.

Next, I tried it with my DNF Mobile character.

For the reference, I included an image of Diana from a game that's been getting a lot of attention lately.

It captured the character well in a photorealistic image, complete with the DNF Mobile logo.
