Hello.

The topic this time is gaming communities, with a look at the communities built around games. This post focuses on places where newer players can find the latest MapleStory information, as well as useful sites that use the MapleStory API.

Where to find community information

Several sites and forums have spaces dedicated to MapleStory, including Inven, DC Inside, and FM Korea. While they all bring together people who enjoy MapleStory, each has a slightly different atmosphere, so if you plan to become an active participant, it is worth spending some time in these communities to find one that suits you.

Most people visit these communities primarily to find new information, which is why they tend to be busiest immediately after the Test World opens. The influx of visitors can make relevant posts difficult to find on any of the sites above, so for quicker access to new information, visit the MapleStory Inven General Discussion board and browse the “Test Server” category or filter for posts with 10 or more upvotes.

What is [MapleStory Partners]?

MapleStory Partners is a program launched alongside the MapleStory OPEN API for sites built using the open API. You can visit its official page through this link.

The OPEN API became available with the [DREAMER] update in the winter of 2023. Although sites offering MapleStory information already existed, access to official data encouraged the creation of more sites and gave developers new ways to improve their existing services, making them even more useful.

There are currently 16 officially registered sites, all built with considerable dedication, including those not covered here. I recommend visiting the page to read their introductions and see which ones would be useful to you.

[환산 주스탯] : https://maplescouter.com/ko

“The 환산 주스탯 service uses a defined set of criteria to calculate nearly all in-game values related to character strength that MapleStory's "main stat" and "Combat Power" do not account for, providing a new metric that represents a player's overall strength.

Based on this metric, it also offers advice on the level of content you can attempt, such as boss runs and climbing Mu Lung Dojo, measures the actual change in strength when your build changes, and provides optimized Hyper Stat and HEXA Stat allocations and recommended HEXA Core upgrade paths.

Other features help players gain a greater sense of achievement in MapleStory, including weekly converted stat rankings, Extreme Lotus top 100 rankings, and a system that awards badges for meeting certain conditions and displays them in character name searches.”

환산 주스탯 was developed and made available before Combat Power even existed as an in-game metric. Although it is unofficial, the open API has made it more accessible, and players now effectively use it more widely than the official metric.

The terms derived from it—환산, 헥환, and 템환, which indicate a character's strength, and 배율, which helps gauge the likelihood of clearing a boss—are used both in the game and throughout MapleStory-related communities, YouTube, and other spaces, making an understanding of them essential when playing.

To check your current values, simply visit the site and enter your character name.

You can also look up other players by entering their character names, which is why the current 1st-place player shown above consistently ranks among the most searched characters.

After entering a character name, open Efficiency/Boss Thresholds under the Analysis&Optimization tab to check that character's “boss ratio.” These values are used when recruiting for boss parties and looking up other players' clear records. While you can also search by class and Combat Power, using the class and ratio for the relevant boss makes related videos, posts, and other resources easier to find.

As the official description and menus above show, the site also offers guidance on efficient enhancements, equipment upgrade order, and optimizing Hyper Stats, Link Skills, and Legion, helping you play more efficiently and with greater ease.

[메애기] : https://meaegi.com/

“Find MapleStory information on 메애기. Browse character details such as equipment, outfits, and skills, or look back at character information and outfits from earlier dates.

You can also review your Cube use/reset history and Star Force enhancement history in a clear, at-a-glance view. Visit 메애기 for class analysis to support character progression, lists of main and alternate characters, a character name suggestion generator, daily coin prices, statistics and rankings, and the latest MapleStory news.”

메애기 provides access to the information outlined in the official description above.

As shown here, entering a character name brings up a range of details, with convenient access to information such as the character's history.

One of the site's particular strengths is its Dressing Room feature, which lets you preview Cash Shop items and equipment on a character without the separate process this previously required. New items are also added soon after updates, making it especially useful for players interested in outfits.

The site also offers a Damage Skin simulator, a useful feature given how different Damage Skins can look in use compared with their UI previews.

[메이플로드] : https://mapleroad.kr/

“메이플로드 brings together sites built by many talented creators in one convenient place, alongside its own services for looking up a range of information through character name searches.

>

Search and favorites make it easier to find the sites you need, while categories let you browse popular sites and new additions.

Its own services include an EXP efficiency calculator based on character information retrieved through name searches, as well as calculators for EXP from farming sessions, EXP Coupons, and Punch King content. Other useful MapleStory pages include real-time Sunday Maple event information. The site links and utility pages on 메이플로드 can help make your MapleStory experience easier and more convenient.”

Like 메애기, 메이플로드 provides character information alongside several useful features.

One particular strength among these features is the ability to compare the efficiency of the many, often complicated EXP-related items at a glance.

As shown here, entering a level or character name lets you see how much EXP that character would receive from a wide range of sources, including potions, EXP Vouchers, the sauna, and the farm.

You can also view each entry separately, as shown here, depending on which information you need.

[Sunday Maple at a Glance] : https://sundaymaple.netlify.app/

Although this site does not use the open API, it lives up to its name by providing a convenient overview of Sunday Maple events.

It has been updated every week from 2023 to the present, making the full list easy to browse.

Clicking a category highlights the corresponding entries in the table, so you can easily see which bonuses appeared and how often.

[Maple Tools - Boss Earnings Calculator] : https://maple.ygh.kr/crystal

Finally, the Boss Earnings Calculator on Maple Tools is widely used for checking weekly Intense Power Crystal earnings while accounting for the weekly boss limit. It also lets you instantly enter common boss groupings such as 검밑솔 and 하세이칼 and register multiple characters for convenience.
