I’m Jeymer, currently active as a Nexon Picker.

When you play games, there are times when the process itself feels more precious than the result.

That feels even more true with a game like MapleStory, where you spend such a long time carefully raising your character.

And when you save those fleeting moments and look back on them later, the memories come back so vividly.

So today, as I look back on my time with MapleStory,

I’d like to share my #archiving experience of recording those precious moments!

Saving Screenshots in a Folder

The easiest and most reliable way to keep a record is still screenshots, after all.

While writing this post, I opened my MapleStory screenshot folder.

And somehow, there were already well over 1,000 files saved in there...!

Thinking of each file as part of my precious character’s growth record made me feel a little emotional all over again.

When I checked the very first image, it was dated February 21, 2021.

I honestly couldn’t believe that nearly five years had already passed.

Does anyone remember this content?!

Just scrolling through the photos in that folder

made all the time I spent in MapleStory flash by like a panorama!

Sadly, I couldn’t find a screenshot from my very first time playing.. I think I must have captured it on another computer 😥

I even found a screenshot of Azmos Canyon, which you can’t play anymore now.

Part of me wishes I’d captured it a little more carefully,

but at the same time, I felt thankful that I still had some record of it like this.

There was even a photo from the event map that opened to celebrate last New Year’s.

That time still feels so vivid, but it’s already 2026... time really does fly.

Looking at the screenshot again made that hit me even more.

The most recent screenshot was from when I was waiting to see if I’d win Amazing Hot Time.

I wonder if any Nexon PEAK users won..? Sadly, I was a miss!

Maple Logs Stored on My Blog

I also used to write Maple logs on my blog in the past.

I wanted to hold onto those precious memories with people close to me for a long time,

so I remember carefully documenting them on my blog!

Looking back after all this time, those small little moments of chatting, joking around, and playing together in-game

were all still there on the blog exactly as they happened :)

The record of all the effort I put into trying to get the hairstyle I wanted was still there too.

Now that you can choose hairstyles, it really feels like such a nice change..!

Reading those old posts again,

I found myself thinking, wow, I really had so much fun with this person back then~ and ah, so this was what was popular at the time~ It was such a fun read.

Solo grinding is fun too, but in the end, I think the memories that stay with us the longest are the ones we shared with other people!
