If a character you love showed up right in front of you, how do you think you’d feel? Excited? Terrified? Happy? Today, with a little help from ChatGPT (paid), I put together a fun little idea: what if MapleStory characters were turned into live-action?

I picked 4 popular characters and gave them cool live-action designs, so I’d be grateful if you just enjoy this as a little for-fun post. Let’s go!

Suu

First up is Suu. Lots of players love this design for the blond hair and that slick black gown. And for anyone who doesn’t know, quick heads-up: Suu is a male character.

The fluttering hair, the electricity powers, and that softly glowing mechanical cape all make the look hit even harder. He’s designed like a delicate young pretty boy, so when I imagine him after getting retired, just slumped down there... yeah, it kind of hurts my heart a little.

Will

Second is Will. Out of all the Maple bosses, he might be the male character with the smartest and sexiest image. The robe and magic book came out with great quality, and the face really keeps that proud, aloof vibe intact.

When you think about the evil heart hidden behind that haughty exterior, he gets kind of scary too. Personally, I think the live-action version came out even more handsome, and if he ever got remade with a look like this, I feel like he’d be super popular with women.

Kai

Third is Kai. A lot of people probably won’t know Kai on first sight. She’s a season boss that appears on the Challengers server. Her design came out as a modern female ninja version and looks really pretty, which is a big reason she’s so popular. She’s also the kind of swordmaster character I really like, so I’m even more drawn to her.

Because of that, the rare item ‘Great Kai’s Soul’ has also gone way up in value. I only saw her for the first time yesterday, and wow, she was seriously so pretty. The visual looks real enough that if you didn’t say it was ChatGPT, I think a lot of people would totally fall for it!

Mike (Director Kim Chang-seop version)

Last up is Director Kim Chang-seop made in the Mike version. I swear, I did not make this just to be funny. This is actually a real MapleStory NPC.

I already know pretty well what Director Kim Chang-seop looks like in real life, but I got curious what kind of live-action version ChatGPT would make, so I ran it anyway. It was kind of wild seeing the hairstyle, glasses, pose, and that character-focus mode all recreated so closely. Still, the real-life Kim Chang-seop definitely looks cooler. 😎😎

So that’s my little rundown on what MapleStory characters turned into live-action might look like.

These days, with AI getting better and better, there’s a lot more content like this around live-action reimaginings. It feels even more fun when I do it with MapleStory, since it’s a game I love. If I get the chance next time, I might try making a bunch of different characters too. Thanks for reading!
