Save Earth Day! What kind of in-game content can you check out?

Hello to all my fellow Nexon game fans,

it’s Jaepamin!

April 22 is Earth Day. It’s said Earth Day began after an Earth Day declaration was announced in response to the oil spill accident that happened on January 28, 1969, in Santa Barbara, California.

On Earth Day, we can think about the planet, feel thankful, and do whatever small things we can. For me, I’m starting with cutting down on disposable products as much as possible!

And now it’s time to hop into some games and do our part for the environment! I’m going to introduce some eco-friendly content you can enjoy in Nexon games. 고고씽!

Taking out messy monsters(?)

First, I headed out to take down monsters that pollute the earth. In MapleStory, there’s a place called Savage Terminal that’s full of polluted monsters. Beat the monsters there to protect nature and pick up some EXP at the same time!

The only catch is that the monster levels are low, so you won’t get a ton of EXP even if you clear them out. Still, you can fill out your Monster Collection, so it’s a nice little way to think about the environment while hunting for a bit.

Fishing

Second is fishing. Huh? What does chilling out and fishing have to do with the environment? Well, as you know, auto-fishing gives you lots of junk items. So why not fish up as much trash as possible and help make the water cleaner! It already looks pretty clean, but... heh.

Let it run for about 1 hour and you’ll get things like broken shoes, ruined fabric, and miscellaneous fish. If you sell them while cleaning out your bag, you can earn a small amount of gold. Sometimes you’ll also get Deco crafting parts, so I’d say it’s definitely worth doing!

Freeing up storage

Whether it’s greed or just pure laziness, letting your bag stay completely stuffed can be a cause of environmental destruction too! It’s enough to keep only the items you actually need. Sometimes when I leave infinite farming running, my bag ends up packed like this.

In my case, I usually dismantle items that don’t have much use. For example, I turn tree branches into tannin powder. You can collect quite a lot of tannin powder this way, so I sell half and put the rest in storage.

Runes also take up more space than you’d expect. It feels really satisfying to gather up a certain amount and then grind them all at once. Let’s send them back to nature(?) and make sure to hold on to those 8-star runes :D

And that wraps up three ways we can pitch in on Earth Day. I should be thankful that I get to live happily today too. Thanks so much for reading!
