This is the little guy you wind up visiting whenever a limited-time event rolls around. Like the cat in the DevCAT logo, it has those blurry, unfocused eyes and an equally vague little mouth, but it can also speak like a person. Right now, you can collect acorns from the 바람의나라 30th anniversary event and trade them in for all kinds of items.

The Cat Merchant is an NPC you usually meet inside dungeons, and this one actually walks around on two legs.

Depending on your quest progress, it also shows up around town in places like near the Tir Chonaill inn, the alley between the Dunbarton government office and bookstore, or near the Colhen blacksmith. I still remember how striking it was the first time I saw it and thought, “Wait, why is that cat standing up?”

Companion Pets

Even if you do not own them, you can still browse them in the companion pet collection, and there are currently 11 types of cats.

You mainly get them through Lucky Boxes, but events also hand out quite a few pet tickets. Thanks to the recent first anniversary celebration giving away even more than usual, a lot of players seem to have picked up a Norwegian Forest Cat this time.
