MapleStory, MapleLand, and even MaplePlanet? #연속 플레이

Hello!

This is Nexon picker 피스타임.

Quite a few Maple-themed games

have made their way to players through MapleStory Worlds.

From the original MapleStory

to Mapleland, the poster child for old-school Maple,

and even the up-and-coming new world MaplePlanet,

I’ve played every one of them.

Here’s a look at the distinct flavor each one brings to the table.

Convenience features and content in abundance

The original MapleStory

To start with, the original MapleStory remains highly popular,

with major events rolling out every quarter.

Most recently, the Change Burning Lucid Dream event, which lets players transform into Lucid,

has been delivering an engaging leveling experience along with worthwhile rewards.

During the collaboration event with BTS Jin,

even players at a staggering level 285 could gain a full level,

thanks to the so-called ‘Jinhasungbi,’ which quickly became a hot topic.

As the latest version of Maple,

if you’re looking for flashy effects and that satisfying sense of growth,

it’s hard to find a better choice than MapleStory.

The old-school Maple feeling, just as you remember it

Mapleland

Mapleland is built around pre-Big Bang Maple,

and it’s the most popular server in MapleStory Worlds.

It captures the original especially well, and because it runs at 1x rates,

it feels notably hardcore while preserving that era’s atmosphere.

More recently, Mapleland 2.0 was announced,

with plans to launch it as a standalone client.

The Pirate class is said to be coming as well.

A lighter old-school Maple?

MaplePlanet

MaplePlanet recently ran its beta,

and it became one of the MapleStory Worlds servers generating real buzz.

It’s based on old-school Maple,

but with moderate rate boosts applied to EXP, mesos, and item drops,

the appeal is that it offers a lighter, more approachable experience.

If Mapleland’s hardcore edge has started to wear you down,

MaplePlanet may be one worth keeping an eye on.

So today, I spent some time playing through

three different Maple-themed games in a row.

Each one has its own charm,

but which one catches your eye the most?
