Totally got sucked into MapleStory Worlds’ Chuchu Burger Branch No. 1!

Hello, from a fellow Nexon game fan—

I’m Jaepamin!

I play all kinds of games in MapleStory Worlds, and lately I’d been wanting to dive into a tycoon game. While looking around, I found one made by the official MapleStory Worlds team called ‘Chu Chu Burger Branch No. 1’.

The second I saw the preview image, I wanted to play it, so I jumped in right away.

‘Chu Chu Burger Branch No. 1’ is a tycoon game where you save Chu Chu Burger after it goes bankrupt because its recipe was stolen. Since it’s built using the MapleStory IP, it was really fun seeing familiar NPCs and characters pop up.

More than anything, the visual quality is seriously nuts—후덜덜합니다.

The basic flow is simple: serve food to the wave of incoming customers, then use the gold you earn to expand your restaurant. It sticks closely to the classic tycoon formula, so it feels like something pretty much anyone can enjoy.

On top of that, whenever you complete management goals (missions), you get various rewards, which naturally kept me locked in.

Chu Chu Burger Branch No. 1 doesn’t have a whole lot of complicated controls, but it really does require a lot of timing and focus. As you’d expect from the tycoon genre, it keeps your hands busy. If you just leave it running like an idle game, your store rating can drop, and you can even get a game over.

While playing, all kinds of variables start piling on—customers asking for a specific burger, complaints about cleanliness, people saying service is too slow, and more. Dealing with them gets you generous rewards, but if you mess up even once, the loss can be pretty big.

At first glance, it might seem like the kind of game that’d get stressful fast, but honestly, not at all. Since the whole theme is burgers, the food graphics look weirdly tasty(?) and the overall color palette is so nice that it’s just plain satisfying to look at.

There’s also a bunch of content to enjoy outside of store management. You can earn all kinds of item rewards through truck dispatches and scooter deliveries, and if luck’s on your side, you can chain store upgrades back-to-back, which feels great.

The game is also really satisfying to play. When you complete certain events, your steadily growing store gets featured in the newspaper like in the image above. Because of that, I kept telling myself ‘just a little more..’ and somehow ended up playing for over an hour. It kept making me want to push a little further.

Thankfully, this isn’t a game that leaves you feeling defeated. You know those moments in games where you end up thinking, “Wow, I just wasted my time..”? Chu Chu Burger Branch No. 1 doesn’t really do that. Even if you fail a mission, there’s no penalty. You can just try again without any pressure, and that makes growing your store feel even more rewarding.

If you’re looking for a fun tycoon game that keeps you focused and engaged, I’d say today’s pick, Chu Chu Burger Branch No. 1, is well worth trying. Thanks for reading!
