MapleStory has those iconic eye styles (face options) that kind of represent male and female characters. Whenever I build a male character, I always go with Blank Eyes, and for female characters, I usually pick Quiet Eyes.

Some eye styles are super popular on both male and female characters, and one of them is the true expression master, ‘Aing Eyes’. The eyes themselves are adorable, of course, but the reactions are so expressive too. Please go experience the Aing-eye charm for yourselves(?)!

If you want to copy the expressions while reading this post, try setting them up in your hotkey settings!

1) Default expression

Simple is best. Let’s start by appreciating the default Aing-eye expression. The corners of the mouth and the eyebrows both lift up, so just looking at it puts me in a good mood.

2) Smiling expression

This smiling face is basically the signature Aing-eye expression! It’s so bright and innocent that I end up smiling too every time I see it. You can spot this one all the time in Henesys.

3) Crying expression

This is the face you’ll see a lot when Shining Star Force and Miracle Cube Time events are going on. 😏 Even the crying version is cute in its own way. If someone’s standing in town crying without typing anything, they’re probably being sad in guild chat or friend chat.

4) Glare expression

This is the perfect face for joking around with a friend, or for getting annoyed after watching someone flex their luck. The way it just stares with those pale eyes is so funny.

5) Ugh expression

This is the face for when a friend starts talking about something gross, or when you hear a story that makes you go, ugh... Lately I’ve been dealing with gastritis, so I’ve basically been making this face nonstop in real life too.
