In this post, I want to talk about something everyone else seems to have, but I’m still missing…

A piece of equipment in MapleLand.

Every Stat Point Matters in MapleLand

In MapleLand, there are only a few ways to make your character stronger:

stat gains from leveling up,

high stat rolls on equipment dropped by the monsters you hunt (aka. above-average rolls),

and 10%, 60%, 100% scrolls. That’s it.

That makes equipment with slightly higher stats or a few extra stat points especially desirable. Even a tiny difference like +1 or -1 can affect both an item’s price and your grinding efficiency.

Tough Fights, Great Rewards... Which Reward Is a Must-Have?

It’s practically a given: the stronger the monsters you hunt, the better the rewards you can earn.

One standout is MapleLand’s first raid boss, a monster that has been giving players a seriously tough time:

Zakum takes center stage.

With a massive total HP pool of nearly 500 million and a relentless barrage of varied attack patterns,

plus the thrill of watching your HP plummet in an instant as you hover between life and death...

This is one tough monster, demanding plenty of patience and damage output.

And before you can even face Zakum, there are several quests to complete:

The Stage 1 quest, which sends you exploring the Dead Mine to collect Piece of Fire (Stage 1 quest).

The Stage 2 quest, which has you navigating a sigh-inducing obstacle course to obtain Breath of Lava (Stage 2 quest).

With 30 Zombie's Lost Gold Teeth (Stage 3: refining all the materials), you take on the Stage 3 quest to refine all the materials

into an Eye of Fire. With all these prerequisites to clear,

even getting a glimpse of this boss is a challenge.

Still, putting in all that time and effort to defeat Zakum

can earn you a very appealing reward.

That reward is the Zakum Helmet—the Zakum Helmet is practically essential equipment in MapleLand.

The Zakum Helmet?!

The Zakum Helmet is a Lv. 50 armor item that goes in your hat (helmet) slot,

boasting an incredible All Stats + 15, Defense + 150, Accuracy and Avoidability + 20,

along with 10 upgrade slots. That’s an impressive lineup of stats for a helmet.

Regardless of your class, you get a whopping 15 points each in your primary and secondary stats,

plus far better defense than regular Lv. 100 armor,

and a substantial boost to Accuracy in one go (enough to bring Warriors to tears),

to name just a few benefits...

It outclasses ordinary helmets in every respect—there’s really no comparison.

That makes it an endgame helmet and one of MapleLand’s must-have items.

I Want a Zhelm...!

So, most people already have one... But not me...! I still don’t have a Zhelm...!

The Zhelm has always been a symbol of strength I’ve admired,

and its stats certainly back up that reputation.

There are plenty of items I want, but the Zhelm is at the top of my list.

I’m currently leveling a Warrior on the path to becoming a Hero,

so it’s pretty much the perfect solution to my lack of Accuracy.

That makes me want one all the more.

Of course, the Zakum Helmet is untradeable, so people join a party as a so-called “guest”

to get one by essentially buying it indirectly.

Personally, though, my goal is to defeat Zakum and earn it myself, so

I’m working hard to level up my character.

For now, I’m wearing my Maple Hat—an event reward that offers excellent value...!

I’m hunting Wolf Spiders, which are relatively easy to grind on,

and leveling up so I can eventually take on Zakum.

Here’s hoping I can live out my dream of swinging my sword with powerful 4th-job skills and chopping Zakum to pieces...
