When you've been playing MapleStory for ages, a lot of the time you're not even playing because it's fun anymore,

you're playing because skipping it feels like missing out, and suddenly it's homework.

That's where I'm at right now..

When I get like that, I often play something else for a change of pace,

and lately my side game has been Mapleland.

Once I'm done with everything I need to do in MapleStory, I've been squeezing in a little Mapleland.

Mapleland is mostly grinding, and I hate grinding, so I figured I'd quit pretty quickly,

but sticking to quests instead has actually been pretty alright.

Wow... going from MapleStory to Mapleland, you REALLY feel that step backwardㅋㅋㅋ

Fighting monsters, how fast your character moves—everything is such a pain!!!!

The biggest decision in an RPG is picking your class, and I went with Magician.

Teleport makes getting around easier, and it's the best class for the first and second job advancementsㅎㅎ

I got a quest as soon as I made the job advancement, so off I went to do it.

Been a while since I last fought Slimes.

I thought I'd have to go all the way back to Grendel the Really Old after finishing the quest,

but turns out I can just click to turn it in?

Guess Mapleland has had quite a few quality-of-life patches too.

Got a level from questing. Success!

The second training quest was available in the mailbox too, so I picked it up,

killed 20 Slimes,

and turned it in.

I don't touch quests in MapleStory, but I need to level up in Mapleland, so I've actually been putting in the work.

I want to keep squeezing in a little playtime after my MapleStory chores and make it to the second job advancement!
