Crazy Arcade... what a classic. Absolutely perfect as a #가족 game!

Hello to everyone who loves Nexon games,
it’s Jaepamin!

Before I knew it, I’m already in my third year of living on my own, and whenever my family gets together, we sometimes end up reminiscing about the old days. I played a ton of games with my younger siblings when I was little, so I’ve got a lot of memories tied to that.
One game that comes up every now and then is Crazy Arcade, which was absolutely one of my core elementary school games. It suddenly made me want to hop back in after so long. I was curious how much it had changed, too! So I jumped into Crazy Arcade with my dear friend Jaymer!
Took Crazy Arcade for a spin!

As soon as I logged in, that familiar BGM welcomed me. And seeing my old pals Bazzi and Dao sitting there nice and big in the lobby... wow, the nostalgia hit right away.

Jaymer and I are both pretty shy, so we just played by ourselves. When I went to pick a character, though, there were way more than I remembered. Back in my day, Luxury Marid was the true classic, so now I’m kind of curious what the go-to pick is these days.
Ah, and the reason my character is such a low level is because I couldn’t find my old account. Sob.
The classic maps are so much fun!

We started off on a true classic map. Rather than fighting it out with water balloons, the real key here is moving fast and claiming boxes, so even family members trying Crazy Arcade for the first time should get the hang of it pretty quickly.
If you’re totally new to Crazy Arcade, I think this is a great map to build up your reflexes on.

I also got to revisit another classic map, the Car Racing map. I was insanely good at this one when I was a kid, so I went in feeling confident... and then I lost to Jaymer five rounds in a row. Seriously, how does that even happen..
On the Car Racing map, getting the car first is basically the win condition, but I kept falling behind because I was late to it five games straight. Ah, and in one of those rounds I actually got it early, but then I messed up and got hit by a water balloon, so I completely threw that one away too. Then my pride got involved, I kept going, and all I was left with were scars. 😏😏

To heal those wounds, obviously we had to queue up a teamplay map, right?! We played Monster Mode again for the first time in ages, and since it’s clearly a map made for four players, doing it with just the two of us was a little rough. Still, we’ve got enough old veteran instincts that it went pretty smoothly.
It’s the kind of map your family can really get immersed in, so if you’ve got two or more computers at home, trying it with four people sounds like a great time.
My first time seeing Creator Maps!

A lot of time has passed, and Crazy Arcade really has gotten a bunch of new maps. The one that stood out to me most was the Creator Map. It looks like these are maps made directly by users, and the quality was surprisingly high, so I had a lot of fun with them.
The secret of random characters!

Everyone, did you know Crazy Arcade has a fun little easter egg? If you set your character to the question mark, there’s a small chance you’ll get a hidden character.

After around 20 rounds, I got Santa, one of the hidden characters. Hidden characters are strong by default, so they make the game a lot easier to play. There’s one more hidden character too, but that one would be more fun to try and roll for yourselves with your family. 🤠
Playing Crazy Arcade again after so long brought all those old memories back, and at the same time, it really made me feel how much time has passed, which hit me in a strangely emotional way.
If you want a game that’s easygoing and fun to enjoy with your family, I highly recommend Crazy Arcade! Thanks for reading~
