The instant I saw this mission, one character popped straight into my head.

Unwelcome School instantly starts playing in my head

That “Aru face” that shows up every single time she gets flustered

Yep, it’s Blue Archive’s Rikuhachima Aru.

Aru usually has this full-on villain-face look.

But she’s actually a total goofy failgirl ㅋㅋㅋ

And as for why she makes that villain face,

since you can see she wore glasses as a kid, the accepted theory is that now that she took them off, she can’t see very well,

so she ends up squinting.

And when she smiles, she’s pure innocence itself

A sort of? mildly flustered face

A proud doyagao face.

A totally frazzled face.

Even that half-eyes-shut face from a group photo ㅋㅋ

The more I write, the more soooo many expression-master characters keep coming to mind.

If I had to pick a few iconic expression legends,

Aikiyo Fuuka and “that face” 눈_눈

Doing the cat eyes and going “No lewd stuff allowed!” - Shimoe Koharu

Also, in Blue Archive, when they introduce a character, they show a few expressions next to them.

When you play Blue Archive, you can really feel how much love the staff poured into it.
