Hey, adventurer~!
Making the most of life in Erinn and having fun along the way?
April 14 is Black Day,
when people who didn't get gifts on Valentine's Day or White Day tuck into jajangmyeon, or black bean noodles.
So what if you're on your own?!
You can still have a great time and make it a day well spent!
Let's make the most of today by cooking up something delicious together in Erinn💪

Of all the life activities in Erinn, cooking is my favorite~
You can gather around a campfire to share a meal before heading into a dungeon,
share a bite while playing instruments and chatting,
or get everyone together for a meal before a big gathering session!
There's nothing like hearing your fellow adventurers tell you you're the best,
and the joy of filling all those hungry bellies👩🍳👨🍳

With so many dishes to choose from, I still have a few I make time and again,
so let me introduce you to some of my regulars!
Some dishes are for you to enjoy yourself,
while others are for NPCs in each town who need specific foods.
Check what you need, then pick a dish to make!
Let's all eat our fill!

When you're choosing food to share with other adventurers before a dungeon run,
you probably already know that dishes in the “Sharing” tab are your best bet.
The latest additions, “Gold and Silver Spicy Fish Stew” and “Trout en Papillote,”
are probably the most popular dishes right now!
(If your Cooking level is still too low to try those,
make Sea Bass Spicy Stew and Mackerel and Salmon Steak instead~)
When you're tackling high-end combat content like Abyss on Hell difficulty,
start with a dish like Trout en Papillote to fill your Ultimate gauge completely,
then follow it up with Gold and Silver Spicy Fish Stew or a similar dish to boost your Attack and Defense, and you're all set👍
Grand Feasts are something special,
but their ingredients are harder to gather, so you probably won't be making them often.
Think of them as special-occasion dishes that let everyone enjoy a unique cutscene together.
Of course, if you have ingredients to spare, feel free to make a whole bunch and dig in whenever you need!

Before you get cooking, you'll need to get your ingredients ready!
Gold and Silver Spicy Fish Stew, for example, calls for two kinds of fish and two store-bought ingredients.
You can catch the fish you need,
though each dish calls for different fish…
Each fishing spot has its own Fishing level requirement, too.
So be sure to keep up with your fishing!
Once you've caught all the fish you need,
all that's left to buy are “Radish” and “Chili Powder” from the shop.
If you've done a little cooking, you probably know this already,
but you can only buy up to 30 of each cooking ingredient per shop each week in most cases.

Only certain merchants stock each ingredient, too,
so you'll need to check where to buy what you need.
You can buy Radish from Jennifer in Bangor and Gordon in Emain Macha.
Pick up 30 from each NPC for a total of 60.
Your go-to dishes disappear quickly, so it's worth making as many as you can.
You wouldn't want a shortage of ingredients to keep you out of the kitchen, right?
If you're low on Gold, put those Silver and Bronze Coins to work and spend some time in the hunting grounds.
That's part of the fun of Erinn—everything you do ties together!

Just like fish, some other cooking ingredients can be gathered yourself.
If you're short on Gold, grab your tools and head to the fields to harvest those ingredients yourself!

If you're planning to leave your character gathering for a while, I recommend buying and using a membership.
If buying one isn't an option, save up the membership passes that are occasionally given away for free and use those~
You'll level up your life skills faster and get twice as many materials—a lovely bonus😉

Here are a few more life skill tips:
If you're moving from place to place while gathering, equip a Swordsman weapon
for a 10% boost to movement speed to help you gather a little faster.
If you also have the Mythic rune “White Crow,” give it a try!
This rune boosts movement speed by another 10%.
That's a total movement speed boost of 20%—you'll be zipping along!
“Corn Tea,” “Green Tea,” and “Black Tea” also increase the amount of Life Skill EXP you earn,
so having a cup before gathering gives you a little extra help.

If you can, enjoy a Cotton Candy Grand Feast before gathering for the highest Life Power buff.
As I mentioned earlier, though, those hard-to-find ingredients are the catch.

Phew!
Once all that gathering and shopping is done and you have every ingredient,
it's finally time to cook🎉
Before heading into a dungeon, be sure to share the food you've made from the Sharing tab
with your fellow adventurers so you all get those buffs!
Let's deliver food to NPCs!

Keeping up with your weekly bartering?
Some NPCs will trade really useful items for a tasty meal.
Here are the trades I never miss each week!
Osla in Emain Macha will give you one Meteoric Iron Ingot for two plates of Curry Rice.
You can make this trade twice, so bring four plates of Curry Rice to get 2 Meteoric Iron Ingots!
At the time of writing, Meteoric Iron Ingots
take longer to make than any other processed metal item, so don't miss this trade🔥

Next, let's trade with Delen, the general shop owner in Emain Macha!
Two bowls of Pumpkin Soup will get you one Finest Wood+~
Just like with Osla, you can make this trade up to twice,
so bring four bowls of Pumpkin Soup for two Finest Wood+.
Finest Wood+ takes the longest to make of all the processed wood items.
It's a material you'll use often, so be sure to stock up with this trade!
If you have enough cooking ingredients,
I recommend trading for Finest Leather+ and Decor Crafting Parts to put to use, too~

From Edern in Bangor,
you can get 10 Silver Alloy Ingots for one bowl of Sea Bass Spicy Stew!
Silver Alloy Ingots take a whole 5 hours to process,
yet one bowl of Sea Bass Spicy Stew gets you 10 of them…
Now that's a trade you really, really don't want to miss🔥🔥🔥

Mr. Seumas in Gairech Hills
will give you 5 Superior Bandages for 1 Shawarma.
You can make this trade three times,
so bring 3 Shawarmas to get 15 Superior Bandages!
If you spend plenty of time in combat, a good supply of bandages is a must, right~?

Fun on your own, and helpful to everyone—that's cooking for you!
And that wraps up our little guide to becoming Erinn's best chef!
Gather those ingredients, have fun in the kitchen, and share with everyone😋
I'm cheering you on as you make a name for yourself as a chef in Erinn~
See you next time,
bye~🖐🖐🖐
